#friyayintro A rare selfie with my 3 year old. Not sure what‘s even more rare; the fact that I took a selfie or the fact that she‘s actually smiling AND looking at the camera. 😱

I‘ve been in the longest reading slump of my life. I haven‘t finished reading anything but self-help books in months and I miss my old reading life. I have the week off work (my new school has a President‘s Week break) and I‘m determined to finish something. I‘m going in. Wish me luck. 🤞🏻
Litsy Family- I‘ve missed you all. Life has been very rough recently. In short, divorce sucks. However, today I‘m celebrating getting the key to my very own place. This will be my first time living alone and I‘m excited to make this little place feel like home. That will of course include lots of books. I can‘t wait to dive back into reading and chat with all of you again.
Finally settling down for the night after a long day of housework. Off to a good start with this one.
Angry and feminist AF. ✊🏻🙌🏻

3. My reading time has been dismal lately. I normally love classics and mysteries in the fall.
4. Occasionally. When I do, it‘s normally books from my childhood or teen years.

Hello friends! I‘ve hardly been on lately and am missing seeing what everyone is up to. My school year just started (my first year back since having my daughter) and I‘ve been swamped with work. I haven‘t been reading much, but here‘s a picture of my classroom library. My students are enthusiastic readers so far! 💕 #teachersoflitsy

This wasn‘t quite what I was hoping for. I was expecting something more fluffy and fun. While it was both of those things, it carried a note of seriousness that I wasn‘t anticipating. I still found it enjoyable and plan to continue with the series. Hopefully the movie will be as fun and fabulous as it looks!
1. Still undecided at the moment. Possibly going to visit a silent film museum where they‘re celebrating Charile Chaplain all weekend. I‘ve been begging my husband to take me for years! 🤓

This is between a Pick and a So-So for me. Mary Shelley was clearly an excellent writer and the fact that she wrote this so young is mind blowing. Obviously the monster is a much more sympathetic character than Victor Frankenstein. Not a new favorite, but definitely worth the read.

I don‘t read many YA novels these days, but something about summertime makes me crave cute contemporary books. This was just want I was hoping for! I appreciated that the story focused more on friendship than on romance.
1. 6 🙈 My husband, father-in-law, and my dad each got one from me and one from my daughter. Cards are our love language in my family. 🤷🏻♀️

#Riotgrams Day 2: #Librarylove
We ❤️ our library! I take my daughter every few weeks to pick up holds, return books, and play in the children‘s area. She especially loves to play with the learning toys and always asks to “do puzzle” as soon as we get in the door. I don‘t know what I would do without it. 💕
Today was $6 bag sale at the library! 🎉A few of these I‘ve already read and others will be added to #GARbingo. Now I need to find some room on my shelves to put them. 😬
1. It was very low key, which I needed after the craziness that was last week! 😵
2. Two
3. One grandma and one grandpa on each side.
4. Yes! I‘ve done some basic research, but I‘m not in a place in life where I can dedicate the time and resources to investigate more.

4. How do you wake up Lady Gaga? Poke her face! Bad jokes are the best jokes, right? 😂

Here‘s my Bingo card for #GARbingo. Most of these are books that I‘ve had on my shelves for years, so now is a great time to finally read them. Thanks for hosting, @4thhouseontheleft 😊
I don‘t normally read true crime because I‘m wimpy and it makes me paranoid, but I just had to read this book. I grew up in the Sacramento area of CA and knew nothing about the East Area Rapist, which is shocking considering how many crimes he committed here. McNamara did some incredible investigating and her passion for soving this puzzle is evident. The book does feel unfinished but that‘s somewhat expected considering the circumstances.
1. Anywhere from 0-5 on average. I‘m really trying to buy fewer books this year.
2. A year with no new books. Eating the same thing every single day makes me miserable.

I went a little coloring book crazy on Book Outlet. 🤦🏻♀️I guess this is my way of buying ‘books‘, since I‘m on an unofficial book buying ban. 🤷🏻♀️ It looks like there will be lots of audio coloring in my future! 😆
Whew! I finally finished this beast of a book today. It‘s been a 6 month journey, but I enjoyed the ride. The characters are fantastic and, in my opinion, what makes this book so great. I wanted more Clara and her girls! If you enjoy character driven stories, I highly recommend this one. 🤠🐎🏜

1. My two year old met the “big, big, big, big bunny” yesterday. 🐰She was NOT a fan! 😂
2. The tagged book just came in through Libby. I‘m about 100 pages in and I‘m already terrified. 😱
3. #friyayintro
I‘ve been enjoying this series so far and this book was no exception. My only critique is that I feel like Bray wants to put too many ideas in one book. There are so many different threads going that they don‘t always match up well together. This also makes the novels overly long. Still, this series is always lots of fun and full of diverse and interesting characters. Looking forward to the fourth book!

This is my first book completed for #middlegrademarch. I loved it! I somehow missed this one growing up, so I knew almost nothing about it beforehand. The story has a surprising amount of depth that I wasn‘t anticipating, but really enjoyed. I laughed out loud a lot too!
