January was filled with so many books I absolutely loved! I finished 10 audiobooks, a manga (2 volumes in one), and a comic issue. My favorites were The Heartbreak Bakery (so adorable, and those scones were amazing), One Last Stop (loved the whole process of solving the mystery), White Trash Warlock, and its sequel Trailer Park Trickster (really fun urban fantasy by a Colorado local author!)! I was disappointed by the Wheel of Time. #JanuaryWrapUp

I read way more this January than I usually do. I finished 2 books for #NYWD22, one of which (We Begin at the End) was a favorite this month. In Cold Blood was another favorite. My least favorite was the Watkins. I‘d been looking forward to it for months, but I ended up strongly disliking it.

My goals this year are to read fewer books than I did in 2021 and stop being intimidated by chunksters (500+ pages).

Total: 12
Fiction: 4
Nonfiction: 8
Chunkster: 1 (Garp, also my top read!)

Freespirit I loved Garp ❤️ 10mo
britt_brooke @Freespirit SO GOOD. 💚 10mo
bookishnerd I have the same goal! I read like no long books last year. 10mo
britt_brooke @bookishnerd Same here! My preference is 300-400 pages, but every time I finally go for a longer one, I never regret it. So many beautiful chunksters out there! 10mo

January was a really good month for my reading..
10 books in total:
3 physical books + 5 ebooks + 2 audios (~70 hours, thanks Count of Montecristo!)

My 5 stars were The power of the Dog and both audiobooks (The Count of Montecristo and The Sandman with a full cast on Audible)

This month I managed to read all but one of my planned reads and even then I'm about half way through it. For the most part I enjoyed pretty much all of the list maybe only one was kind of a dud.

8 Physical
0 eBook

I've gotten a sort of slowish start to my #BuriedAliveChallenge with only 255 points and an average of 65 points per qualifying book.

I don‘t expect to top my January stats this year. I finished 27 books: 13 for #ReadingAfrica2022, 6 for MountTBR, 2 (officially) for #Booked2022, and 2 for #NYWD22. I know I read a couple more that could count for Booked2022, but I‘m trying to read the prompts in order, so I‘m not going to count them, at least not yet. Top three rows are all 4-5 star reads, which is awesome. #januarywrapup #januarystats

I‘m horrible at keeping up with this throughout the year, but if at first you don‘t succeed…

Here is my #januarywrapup. I'm a little surprised I finished so many. 12 total this month. The tagged book was by far my favorite this month & my first 5⭐️ read of the year. The bottom 4 books are what I'm still reading because I can never just read 1 book at a time🤷‍♀️.

Gissy Great!!!📚📚📚👏👏👏👏 10mo
