Reading Challenge | 
I made a reading challenge for myself to read my physical books and these are the books I chose. I‘ve added the rest of these books to my #bookspin list hoping that it will help me to prioritize the physical books I own. I‘m doing good. I have 6 books left to read on this graphic. After I finish reading the books on here, I‘ll choose more to read.
Here‘s my progress on my reading challenge for this month. I‘m not going to read any more books this month. In 2023, I discovered that I like taking a break from reading during the last week of every month so I‘m going to be continuing to do that this year.
🙌 My library hosted a fun reading challenge in 2023! I didn‘t get a blackout but I filled 2 complete rows.
✅ I used one copy for tracking prompts completed, and another for photos of the books I read for the prompts. I loved using my book stamps and washi tape for this challenge.

Here‘s my progress for my reading challenge this month. I can‘t believe January is almost over and I‘ve only finished 2 books this month. I DNF‘d a lot of books this month.
Here‘s my progress on this challenge. I‘m not off to a great start. I‘ve been reading every day but I haven‘t finished any books yet. I‘ve been reading my Netgalley ARCs and I DNF‘d them because I didn‘t like them. I‘m trying to improve my ratio on Netgalley and bailing on books isn‘t helping but if I don‘t like the book then I don‘t like it so I‘m not going to force myself to finish books I‘m not enjoying.
I got an email from Whitney and I saw that she posted about the private paid community she made for #theunreadshelfproject. I enjoyed participating in this challenge because of the prompts and guides and the community but I didn‘t have to pay. I‘m not sure if I want to join. There won‘t be new prompts or guides but I miss #theunreadshelfproject community.
I‘m sharing my Goodreads reading challenges from years past and I see that I have been on Goodreads for 10 years. I can‘t believe it‘s been 10 years.
For this year, I set my goal to 1 book on Goodreads and StoryGraph like I did last year. I set it to 1 book last year and as I read books, I gradually increased it and that worked out really well for me because I ended up reading 84 books last year.
I decided to join this reading challenge hosted by StoryGraph. I decided to start an audio ARC from Netgalley that is being released this month. I started reading Only If You‘re Lucky by Stacy Willingham. This is my first book by this author.
Well - not going to make it this year - although I did read about the same as last year. I definitely get too wrapped up in tv…. Have to set a more realistic goal because I haven‘t met it in 2 years 😔
I am going to be hosting a TBR challenge again. I am doing it through StoryGraph again. It's quite simple: read at least two books each month that have been on your TBR since January 1, 2023. I hope you will be able to join #litsyevents

#theunreadshelfproject is closing down. This is the Instagram post that Whitney shared today and the comment that I made on the post. My username is kelli_booklover on Instagram. I‘m sad that this is coming to an end but as the saying goes,”All good things come to an end.” I enjoyed being a part of the community. It helped me prioritize my unread books and I will continue to prioritize my unread books when I can.

Here‘s how I did on #theunreadshelfproject this year. There were 2 books I borrowed from the library because I didn‘t have a book to fit the prompts and I bought 2 audiobooks to fit 2 more prompts but other than that, I did really well. I haven‘t done the last 3 prompts and at this point, I‘m not going to stress myself out trying to complete this challenge. Christmas is coming up. Why stress myself out if I don‘t have to?
I was on Instagram and I saw that there‘s a challenge for next year to read Agatha Christie so this is what I commented on that post. I‘ll have to see if I can find time for it next year. If I don‘t get around to it next year, it‘s not a big deal. The only reason I haven‘t read more of her books is I don‘t know what to read next by her. She has written so many books and there‘s a lot to choose from.
Here‘s how I‘m doing on my reading challenges for the year. I‘m not going to finish any of them this year. The only one that has a deadline is The Unread Shelf Project but I didn‘t participate in it for October or November and I probably won‘t read anything for it this month either. For the Greek Mythology challenge, I‘m just adding books to it that I‘ve already read this year.
I completed 2 more prompts for the #greekmythologychallenge. I‘m counting Demon Next Door for a true crime novel and I‘m counting When God Doesn‘t Make Sense for a challenging book about a heavy topic.
I just fulfilled 2 more prompts for the #greekmythologychallenge that I‘m doing this year. I read these 2 books last month. I‘m counting the book The Spider for a book somehow related to or featuring spiders and the book Charlie Brown‘s Christmas Miracle will count for a book that makes me nostalgic. I feel like reading the Charlie Brown book was nostalgic for me because I‘m 33 and I became a fan of Peanuts comics when I was 19.
It's only October and I'm almost there!
Do I revise my target upward, or rest on my laurels and pick up Hild and the next Outlander?

I completed 2 more prompts for the #greekmythologychallenge.
For the prompt of a book someone gifted to you, I counted Love Finds You In Charm,Ohio. I read this earlier this year and I enjoyed it. Someone I know in real life gave it to me.
For the prompt of a book that put me to sleep, I counted Balcony Of Fog. I read this book earlier this year as well. This book was boring, confusing and weird. This is a book I should have DNF‘d.
For the #greekmythologychallenge, I‘ve decided to add another book that I read in March. This is a nonfiction book that mentions strategies of war so I think this book will count for a book about war.
For the #greekmythologychallenge, I decided to add another book that I read in March. Milk And Honey will count for the prompt I added it to because it‘s a poetry collection. I didn‘t realize that it worked for this challenge but that‘s good because I don‘t have to read another book to fulfill the prompt.
For the #greekmythologychallenge, I decided to add this book I read this month by Paul Holes called Unmasked: My Life Solving America‘s Cold Cases. He used to be a detective. He helped find the Golden State Killer and he worked on the cases of Laci Peterson and Jaycee Dugard so in my opinion, he‘s a ruthless hero.
Here‘s my progress on the reading challenges I‘ve made for myself. The newest challenges are the ones for Kindle and Audible. I decided to change the prompts for them again. Instead of organizing the prompts by the year I acquired the books, I changed it to the letters of the alphabet and numbers. I think the alphabet and numbers will be easier instead of trying to look up the year I acquired the books on Amazon.
Tonight when I was on StoryGraph, I made 2 more reading challenges for myself without any deadlines. One reading challenge is to help me read my Kindle and the other one is to help me read the books I have on Audible. I‘ve decided to organize it by the year the books were acquired instead of by genre. I tried to do it by genre but using the alphabet and numbers would probably be easier.
For #theunreadshelfproject, I read Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever for August‘s prompt Immerse. For September‘s prompt Remember, I have to either read a book that reminds me of someone or read a memoir. The memoir I‘m going to read is Unmasked by Paul Holes. Celadon Books sent me a physical ARC of the book but I never got around to reading it. This book was written by a retired detective who helped find the Golden State Killer.
Book Series I Need To Finish
Here‘s my progress on my reading challenge I made for myself to help me finish book series that I‘ve started. I‘ve chosen 8 book series that I want to finish. I‘ve completed my first book series. This summer, my goal was to finish The Program series by Suzanne Young and I did it. I‘m taking a break from reading another series but maybe in the Fall, I will choose another series that I want to finish.
Physical Books I‘ve Been Ignoring
Here‘s how I‘m doing. I counted how many books I have left to read. I had 14 books to read and now, I have 11 left to read.

Today, I‘m sharing what I read for #theunreadshelfproject. I read Justin Bieber: Our World by Millie Rowlands for July‘s prompt Joy. For August‘s prompt Immerse, I‘m going to read Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever by Justin Bieber and immersing myself in his world back when he was just starting his career. It‘s also going to have pictures and I‘m looking forward to reading it.
I made a reading challenge on StoryGraph for the book series I need to finish. It doesn‘t have a start or finish date. I‘m working on finishing my first series this summer.
Here‘s my progress for #30booksin3months. I‘m so close to finishing the top row. There were 2 books I DNF‘d that I didn‘t add to this graphic. I won‘t be counting books I DNF towards this challenge. I‘m reading past the deadline for this challenge so I‘m not worried about running behind on this challenge.
