Another month has gone! It's now over half way through the year. Disgusting!
How is everyone doing with #GottaCatchemAll ?
I've got the difficult prompts left or ones I know I'll hit in October/December

The perfect mix of science fiction, comedy and romance! Bujold's Vorkosigan series is one of my favourites, and I enjoyed this audio reread, with an excellent narration from Grover Gardner.

We are half way into the year and half way through Alola #GottaCatchemAll
So far nearly 300 books have been logged and 59 Pokemon caught.
Drampa has been the most caught Pokemon with 8 people catching it!
How are we all doing with the challenges? I've definitely got some tricky ones left

Presumably I read this book back when I purchased it for a quarter back in 1997, but I have no memory of it 😂 A Scholastic Book Club reprint of a 1932 story, this one was perfectly fun but not particularly engaging. But I probably would have liked it better when I was the age for which it's aimed. Soft pick.
This historical mystery set in 1793 Sweden was utterly gripping, though very disturbing as well. I'd definitely recommend it if you can stomach graphic violence.
#gottacatchemall (Tauros: first book in a series)
A good start to a new high-fantasy comic series, featuring humans and orcs, previously enemies, teaming up to face a common enemy.

Huge fan of this world and the characters. A princess I could actually relate to. Odessa isn't super clever or a skilled fighter. She's a normal girl (plus a crown) who likes to read. Yes, the guardian is attractive and rude, but his back story was unique, so still points for breaking the romantasy mold. I will absolutely be reading the next book. I might even go wild and pre-order it.
#gottacatchemall: set somewhere dangerous
I didn't care for James Franco's narration of the audiobook, but otherwise I loved the story. It's hard not to think about today's politics when reading this book, though it was written over 45 years ago.

That‘s pretty much a wrap on May! How are we all doing? #GottaCatchemAll
I think I‘ve hit all my easy prompts and now I‘m looking for books to fill them 😅
I know a couple of you haven‘t been logging month by month (which is fine) so I‘ll do a mid-year post in June and see how many books have been logged overall
