Not a bad #BookSpinBingo month. I finished the tagged for #FoodandLit, #Rwanda. The Book Censor's Library was my #DoubleSpin and also fits #OffMyShelf - #InvolvesBooks; The Colour and Dance on the Volcano were for #192025; Indigenous Pacific Islander anthology worked for #FictionalTraveler and was my #BookSpin. There are a couple of #1001Books, and several for a global reading project.

Most importantly, I have two bingos!

An entertaining thrill ride from the start, this was an enjoyable read. Sun Trap follows a Hollywood movie crew to the Abu Dhabi desert, where the filmmaking gets deadly. This is one of the books with constant action. I was invested in the story although I did not feel connected to the characters at all. Especially after the half way mark there was twist after twist after twist. Also, is this not one of the most gorgeous covers you've ever seen?

Yuki_Onna Thank you, Netgalley and Aria & Aries, for the chance to read a copy in exchange for an honest review!

For May‘s #FictionalTraveler #SpanishSpeaking prompt, I will be traveling to Ecuador. Where will everyone else be traveling? Have you ever been to that location in real life? I have never been to Ecuador. 🇪🇨

BarkingMadRead I‘m going to Mexico! I‘ve been there a couple of times, but only on cruises. 2d
Cuilin #BookedInTime this month is the Spanish Civil War, so I‘m guessing I‘m off to Sunny Spain. I‘ve been to the Canary Islands, Gerona and Malaga. I would absolutely love to see more of the country. 2d
BarbaraBB I‘ll travel to Argentina 🇦🇷 with this book 2d

TheAromaofBooks I'm going to Peru! Litsy won't let me tag - It's a Jungle Out There by Ron Snelling. I've never been to Peru, but I have been to Guatemala and it was BEAUTIFUL! 2d

Family secrets are revealed and new and old loves are found when a grandmother and granddaughter make a summer visit to the Italian island where their family is from. A decent read and the descriptions of the Italian settings will make you feel like you were there - or at least make you wish you were!

A cute hopeful read about finding the magic to believe in yourself.

It wasn't really my thing, but I do recommend for anyone looking for an easy beach read.

This book was borrowed to fulfill this month's #fictionaltraveler prompt because, evidently, I don't read many books that are set on islands.

Two middle-aged (I hate that expression) men fall in love on a date. This book is about their growing closer, each with a life and a big love behind him. It‘s a very tender book despite all graphic descriptions of smells - the author must be an expert on bodily smells 😉. Thanks for sending me this Carolyn, you were right that I‘d like it!

sarahbarnes That sounds like an…interesting thing to encounter in a book. 😆 2w
CarolynM Yeah, all those smells were a bit much😬 Glad you enjoyed it anyway😘 2w
julieclair I must admit that graphic descriptions of smells are something I‘ve never encountered in a book. You are charting new territory! 🤪 2w
BarbaraBB @julieclair I am not sure if I like this territory 😇 2w
