This has always been one of my favorite childhood stories.
So when I discovered it was turned into graphic novels, I knew I had to get my hands on it.

The adaptation is incredibly faithful and features stunning artwork.
I found myself just as immersed in this secret garden as I was in Frances Hodgson Burnett's original.

I'm thrilled that I already own part 2.

willaful My nonfiction choice is I'm Looking Through You: Growing Up Haunted. 5d
BookmarkTavern Thank you for reminding me! 5d
julieclair Tagging was troublesome tonight, so if I tagged you twice - or worse, missed tagging you - my apologies! 🤪 5d
julieclair @BookmarkTavern I almost forgot, myself! September vanished! 5d
julieclair @willaful Hard to believe that title is nonfiction! I bet it will be a fascinating read. 5d
JenlovesJT47 Do you also do #allergictochunksters? I‘m so behind on everything but I‘m reading another gigantic Outlander book, 3rd one this year. 🤓 5d
Bookwormjillk I bought a mystery about some sort of magic cat who solves mysteries in Utah 🤞 5d
Deblovestoread Hey Julie, you can remove me from the tag list. I haven‘t been able to keep up with most challenges this year. Thank you. 💙 5d
julieclair @Deblovestoread Of course! I get it. 💙 5d
julieclair @Bookwormjillk That sounds like a fun one! 🐈‍⬛ 5d
julieclair @JenlovesJT47 I do! But I don‘t post about it often, because it‘s not a monthly challenge. It‘s just a low key, take as long as you need, type of thing. Congrats on being on your third Outlander this year!! They‘re on my #AllergicToChunksters TBR too. 5d

Carla, a world traveler with no time for love, goes to Ireland for her best friend‘s wedding. Best man and the groom‘s brother, Eamon, is tasked with picking her up in Dublin and driving her to the wedding locale to help with wedding planning. Instead, they decide to take Eamon‘s Land Rover on adventures through the Irish countryside, and to have a vacation fling. It‘s easy-breezy until it isn‘t.

I‘m growing to love this series: gentle, seemingly soft-touch stories with gentle humour, but covering some tough subjects at the same time.

As one of the official languages of Botswana is English, I‘m claiming this for #English_Speaking #FictionalTraveler @julieclair

Also part of a series for #SeriesLove2025 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

Book 77/80 #Read2025 @DieAReader

This was a slow burn for me and I never really got into it, even though I loved the woman Edith has become and admire the girl she was when supporting her sister when she gave birth to a baby. Such an interesting plot and I loved the Irish setting. It‘s really a good book. And yet. It‘s me. A light pick.

Jas16 I have this one my shelves and have been eagerly waiting for the right moment to crack it open. Might lower my expectations a bit now. 3w
CBee Her books seem to be very slow burn-ish. I never finished Summerwater because at that moment in my life I just needed her to speed it up 😂😂 3w
Ruthiella You always take such interesting photos! 🤩 3w

julieclair What a thoughtful review. I have never read a Sarah Moss book, and slow burns usually get on my nerves, but this one looks interesting. Might be a good winter read, when life generally feels slower. 3w
BarbaraBB @julieclair Thank you Julie. You might like it in Winter indeed! 3w
