5 DNF's -- Hail the Bail! (Actually, at least 6.)
I got somewhat derailed from my plan by the #TransRightsReadathon, so some extra books around the sides. Plan to read Making Money for my upcoming vacation though.
I‘ve enjoyed this author‘s other books, so I‘m making it my #readordonate pick for April, just for the extra motivation to finally read it. 😂
My April #ReadOrDonate pick has been on my shelf for over a decade.
I DNF‘d my March pick & have sent it to a new home.
The romantic plot was a bit eye-rolling and obvious, and the supporting characters felt one-dimensional, but I loved the Irish village setting and the magical realism element. This was my #ReadOrDonate pick for March. Definitely donating it.

This was my #readordonate from #mounttbr . Overall it was engaging, if not totally submersive. I enjoyed The Romanov Prophecy much more. I liked the idea of of there being more to Marian apparitions but intertwining it with Medujorce and what the big reveal was fell really flat for me. Too easy. 3.5/5
Ben rents a room from Winnie, who is elderly and a recent widow. Ben suspects that Winnie didn't really want him there, that she only agreed because her family thinks she needs someone there to watch out for her & help around the house. So Ben plans to stay out of her way, but then Covid lockdowns start. He and Winnie are forced to spend most of their time together, and a friendship ensues as they start to see life from each other's perspective.
A low pick for me. This was really cute, and I did like the two MCs (the FMC did get on my nerves some), but this could have been shorter. I enjoyed it but didn‘t totally love it.
