pickI think we have established that Justina Ireland knows what she's doing and she knows how to write. She especially knows how to write good female characters. Loved this volume. Many familiar names popping up or even having a cameo (Deva!), lots of character growth and a slowly growing friendship, that really touched me.

pickBeautiful and sad and hopeful and everything Star Wars is to me. I was deeply moved and touched by it and now of course wonder where it'll go. I'd love to stay with the characters longer, get to know them better. Honestly, I don't want to say goodbye. And also - Ember ❤ ❤

I really liked this installment on Obi-Wan during his Padawan years. It provided some insight into his struggles with the Force and his place in the universe. Although a YA title it hit on some deeper issues of loss, grief and purpose.
