Spending some time this afternoon looking back through my reads of 2018. Here are the ones that I rated the highest in my reading journal. Looking back, I think my ratings immediately after I finished the books still apply. A good exercise for the end of the year, now on to thinking about 2019 reads! 😊

🌈 Hmm, today it‘s lilac.
🎵 I‘m sure this has been asked already, but my question is, What is your favorite song?

#friyayintro @jesshowbooks

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Someone Like You Adele 🎹🎤🎼❤️ 8mo

EricaReads All of you- Ella Fitzgerald 8mo

hissingpotatoes Either Crash and Burn by Savage Garden or The Bard's Song by Blind Guardian 8mo
Linear Right now my favorite song is the minor key version of "best day of my life". Youtube it, I'm sort of obsessed with minor key renditions of major key songs right now. 8mo
GlassAsDiamonds Singin in the Rain... ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ 8mo
Susannah @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I love Adele. I was lucky enough to see her in concert on her most recent tour, and she was amazing. And such a hoot! 8mo
Susannah @merelybookish It took me until I was well into adulthood to get into Joni Mitchell, but I‘m so glad I finally did. Blue is such an awesome album. Every bit of it. 8mo
Susannah @EricaReads Isn‘t Ella Fitzgerald wonderful? I don‘t think I could pick just one of her songs. Too much (TOO MUCH!) to narrow down. 8mo
Susannah @hissingpotatoes I don‘t know “The Bard‘s Song.” I need to look it up. 8mo
Susannah @Linear That sounds fascinating! I know it‘ll be a YouTube rabbit hole. 😁 8mo
Susannah @GlassAsDiamonds It‘s the best movie about the movies ever! I‘ve been watching it pretty much my whole life, and I still catch new stuff. I lurve it. 8mo

It's @AndreaReads Litsyversary, and she's kind enough to celebrate with us by hosting a giveaway where we talk about our favorite thing about Litsy.

I can't pick! So I cheated a bit. Truth is, Litsy is my favorite thing! And that's because of all of you. And all of these things. I love the community, I love my fellow introverts, librarians, and book lovers in general.

**Finished in comments**

tonyahoswalt I love finding out about new books. I love joining these buddy reads for books I love and books I've been meaning to read but never got around to. Litsy is my favorite. I don't use Instagram as much anymore, and I just breeze through Facebook very quickly. But Litsy, this has become home. 12mo
AndreaReads 💕 I love this! Thank you so much for sharing and for playing along! (P.S. The Monstrumologist is also one of faves—it is gruesome and fun!) 12mo

This is a really nice idea from @JoScho with there being a few swaps going on!
1. Blue, pink and green.
2. Thrillers, classics, true crime. But I‘m open to most apart from sci-fi and really cheesy romance.
3. Bears! 🐻 I love dogs too! 🐶
4. Nice hardback editions of classics and bookmarks.
5. I love milk and white chocolate.
6. Crisps!
7. I‘m not hugely into hot drinks at all. I don‘t drink tea or coffee but like an occasional hot choc.

JoScho Glad you found it helpful and I love the way you glammed up the graphic! 14mo

4. @CSeydel, @JoScho, @TobeyTheScavengerMonk

saresmoore Great choices! It‘s way too hard to narrow down favorite authors. And here‘s the point at which I realize I need to read Mikhail Shishkin! 1y
saresmoore I just noticed the book you tagged for this—perfect! 1y
DivaDiane How could I forget Virginia Woolf as a fave?!? 1y
See All 11 Comments
Moray_Reads @DivaDiane there are SO many more I wanted to add and probably even more that just didn't occur to me in the moment. But isn't that glorious in itself? Too many wonderful authors to count ♥️ 1y
JoScho Thanks for the tag 😘 (edited) 1y
GarthRanzz I‘ll take the lists! Thanks for participating Moray! 1y
DivaDiane It is a wonderful thing! It‘s been a while since I read any classics, but there are a few by Woolf that I haven‘t read yet (the one you just read, her first novel and The Waves and Flush), so maybe I should crack one of them open. 1y
Moray_Reads @DivaDiane I haven't read Flush but I loved the Waves. I read her first several years ago and didn't love it *gasp* but now I think it was probably me rather than her 1y
Moray_Reads @saresmoore with Shishkin is start with The Light and the Dark and then Maidenhair. Sadly not much of his work has been translated into English, I've been waiting for Taking Izmail for three years but they keep putting back the publication date 14mo
saresmoore Thank you! If I wasn‘t utterly intimidated by every possible facet of the prospect, I‘d consider learning Russian... 14mo
Moray_Reads @saresmoore my friend has been daring me to do that for years but in hopeless at languages, I certainly couldn't deal with the Cyrillic alphabet 14mo

TrishB @Cinfhen 😂 I think you can probably rule out Wrath and Assassin‘s Fate as they‘re massive and last in a fantasy series so not to be read without others first! Not sure you‘re a SKing fan? Sleeping Beauties is big and La Belle Sauvage is - but again you would have to read others first. I‘m always adding to my lists.... 1y
