I bought this for my sons since they like his youtube channel. And it's like one of the only youtube channels I let them watch. I watch it with them of course. If you have never seen the channel, this is good because so far a lot of the stories are in his show. But, it's still pretty funny both for laye elementry school/middle school boys and me.

This is my husband reading the tagged book. I went to BN yesterday and got him this book. He has a lot of paper backs and I knew he hadn't gotten a book in the 5yrs we have been together.
But I remembered this author's name came up a lot when I was going through his books. I got him one from this guy and made sure it came out in the past 5yrs so as not to get him one he has already. Struck gold it seems, because hes been stuck like this all day!

.... I read this to make sure my son read this as a pre reading exercise to a novel for school. I remember Goosebumps books being interesting and engaging when I was a kid. But holy... ugh. Maybe it's because it was the first book? Maybe it's because I've read better things? Either way my son stayed into it... so I guess its alright.
But, holy... ugh just... nobody cares your brother is a brat, girl! Get your life together.

monalyisha I reread one of these recently, too & yeah, I agree; it was a slog. BUT — I think they‘re great for introducing kids to elementary concepts in writing & literature (suspense, setting, dark humor, etc). (edited) 1w
Linear @monalyisha it wasnt very suspenseful... but maybe that's because I'm jaded? Like, a Jack in the box is suprising if you dont know to expect it to pop out, I guess. 1w

Being home sick, has given me the time to finally scan in all my books on my bookshelf and sort them on my Goodreads account. I did give u through my ebooks though. I have 90 something on nook and 2 kindle books...
The 74 library reads are the books I've litteraly overdeived or went to a library for. I saved so much money that way >_> except I'd buy a book I loved after reading it at the library...

I suddenly understand why this book... or was it the last book, came with a deck of cards. Though, that deck was designed like a deck of regular playing cards. I imagined a Deck of Destiny as tarot cards... and I'm having a lot of flashes to the arcana chronicles when I think this, and of the fates. It's hard not to blend books like this..

I've recently become obsessed with my instant pot I got for mothersday. Here is a photo of a hamburger pie I made in it.
Anyway, the first time I read caraval I was expecting a circus because it came in an owl crate that was circus themed. At the time I had not read The Night Circus, so the only one I could think of was the circus in the chemical garden series. Which made me not like this book. This time, I can immerse myself better.

Linear @Bookzombie when I was 5 or 6, I got really sick after eating oatmeal. I don't know if that was what caused it or just the last thing I ate, but now the look and smell makes me gag. First of all, speaking as a 30 year old mom even, sex was always seen as something special. The way Mias mom and Michael see it pisses me off right along with Mia. I'm all for Mia being upset and mad at Michael and his Judeth thing! " I don't understand why this is a big deal" ah whatever!!!!! At her age I saw it as a special secret I would share with the one I loved. A secret told to many people became less of a secret. (Continued below)

Linear The fact he treats sex as some random " fool around" that he experienced just for fun with a friend. Especially when Mia is expressing she sees it as her "precious gift" she wants to share with the one she loves. Makes me want to throat punch him! I dont have a daughter, but I want my boys to treat it as something special. Especially, or at least, their first time!!!! Ugh!!! 7mo
Linear And the reviews of people saying their all mad at Mia for making a big deal out of this. And how they are upset that Mia and michael have been in a relationship this long without having sex bugs them, makes me so mad!! Why do people have to have sex just because their in a relationship? How does the sex make it any more valid?! Especially at her age?! It doesnt. It's just a societal pressure that is crude and rediculous! 7mo
