Andrew65 @kspenmoll I‘ve had to go for another PCR due to a new cough. Only three months since I had it. I did the same as you, thinking of others. Fingers crossed for us both. 2y

Been a massive day. Done risk assessments, net staff, met leadership team, several meetings with deputies, found out critical work children and what support they need, identified vulnerable children, allocated them to bubbles, found out staff availability, allocated children and staff to rooms, allocated staff to remote learning, finalised remote learning offer....

Andrew65 Written four sets of letter to vulnerable children and critical workers, written information about remote offer to parents / carers, answered hundreds of emails (or felt like it), found relief caretaker (isolating), sorted meals, sorted cleaning, attended hour and half LA meeting, tweeted out to parents. Most probably more and all in a day! And this after only four hours sleep across two nights! (edited) 3y

IamIamIam Wow, you've accomplished so much!!! Your efforts are greatly appreciated and I'm not even in your district!! The UK strain was identified in upstate NY, but not downstate so far. More testing equals more positive cases so I'm not sure if I'm ready to panic but I feel we're heading for a lockdown soon. Thinking of everyone tonight!! 3y

IamIamIam @CBee Totally!!! I try not to do more than check in with the email updates from my local news because I'll absolutely lose it. I put timers on my social media too so I'm not doomscrolling and avoiding life!! 10 minutes on FB, 15 on IG... but Litsy has no restrictions. 😂 You guys are good for my mental health!!! 3y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick As I'd say about my niece or dog, someone had a big day, Andrew! I hope the staff and parents appreciate all the work you've put in. Here in NJ, most drastic changes have a few days before going into effect but you've had to pivot overnight and that's no easy feat. I applaud your dedication. My day was fine, just felt tired, like I didn't sleep. Sympathy restlessness, perhaps? 3y

Day 2 of home school was a short one but tomorrow the live lessons start so hoping it will flow and feel more like a school day. Each day I do this makes me appreciate even more how amazing teachers are 3y

Lynnsoprano Andrew, what you are doing is nothing short of amazing. Please do us all a favor and take care of yourself. You are under so much stress, with pressures from so many directions, and it‘s too easy to put yourself last. I try to keep in mind a saying that I was told to focus on at a very stressful point in my life: “after me, you come first.” You can‘t help anyone else if you don‘t care for yourself first. Sending positive thoughts and hugs. 3y

Lynnsoprano @IamIamIam Here in Florida, the UK strain is in the county just north of us. Trying not to panic, but the positivity rate is over 12% and our governor won‘t do a thing. I‘m over 65 and eligible for the vaccine, but they‘ve botched the rollout badly. Hubby and I supposedly are on the waiting list, but I‘m not holding my breath. What a mess! This is the only sane place online. 3y

IamIamIam @Lynnsoprano Oh no!! Fingers crossed that you get your vaccine soon!! My in laws are going down in February to have their house painted and check in because they haven't been back since last March but they're only staying a few weeks. My MIL has asthma and is really concerned about being in FL for too long. Their neighbors are Canadian so clearly they're not coming in. Scary days but I'm glad you've been well!!! 3y

This one isn‘t in the database. This was a different and interesting read about two twins, where one twin claims her sister‘s son is in fact her child, but everything says she has mental health issues and this isn‘t the case. This one took me a while to get into but in the end was an enjoyable book and quite different and refreshing. I saw some of what was coming but there were still some surprises in here. Not sure what I felt about the main 👇

Andrew65 ☝️ protagonists. I think they both had their issues. Overall it was an enjoyable read, but possibly somewhere between so so and pick. #Netgalley #TheChildWhoNeverWas 4y

My mom is having surgery tomorrow and I am hoping to keep my anxiety in check tomorrow. I don't really know how I feel about my current read so I am going to take some other books with me so I have something to chose from. I am not crazy to take all these books with me, am I?

wildwoodreads Did this with my father‘s back surgery. He was in surgery 12 hours so I actually read multiple books. It helped pass the time a little faster. Praying all goes well for your mother! 5y
