On my way home I stopped at Books-A-Million in hopes of finding volume 10 of Ms Marvel (sadly no luck). While there I realized I have not gotten caught up in Saga.
I finished this #audiobook on my drive home from my parents. Sadly after I still had 3 and a half hours left to drive after it was done. Overall it was a good listen. It could have easily pissed me off, but thankfully it didn‘t. It also left me wanting to see Rome again and wishing I‘d done something with my art degree.
I have probably had the best reading week in a long time. I‘ve managed to read/finish five books which makes me extremely happy. I‘m also really on a #middlegrade kick. I‘ve hand sold this book to many and seen it on summer reading lists for schools when I worked at Barnes and Noble. I get why it‘s on those lists. I finally read it and it was enjoyable and at times made me want to cry.
I managed to finish one book for the #NetGalleyReadathon. I‘m ok with that though considering I‘ve been spending time with family and literally reading until 1-2am.
I liked this one, but then I‘ve liked everything I‘ve read by Meg Cabot. There are parts where I was like hmm ok, but overall it was good.
Not book related entirely, but this is who I have been spending the past few days with. We‘ve read Skippy Jon Jones many times and played monster trucks just as much. It‘ll be so much nicer when he and his mom and dad move to St. Louis next month. At least they will be closer.
I wanted to read this, but no matter how many times I try to download it, it doesn‘t work.
My nephew is decorating my #kindle case. I‘d only ever let him add stickers. ❤️
My cat is now reading Aru. The title of the chapter is perfect for her little 6lb size.
I went through my kindle and updated my #tbr list. My goal is to try and read most of these. The checked off on the left are ones I‘ve read. The little black checks by the title/author are Netgalley #arcs to read. Most of which have already been released.
1. My cats eating dog food before I could let the pups in.
2. The first chapter of Aru Shah and the Song of Death
3. Lunch with friends on Saturday and then preparing for vacation.
4. Dreary and rainy.
5. Burgers and fries.
After what felt like years I went to see Endgame last night. No spoilers from me so no worries. I also finally saw Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse the other day and loved it so naturally I have to start the Miles Morales graphic novels. It‘s a Marvel weekend for me.
1. Power Rangers/Saved By the Bell/Fresh Prince
2. Basically traveling anywhere
3. I choose by what I feel like reading and sadly that means putting it down because I want to read something else too. I‘ve many books started.
4. I‘ll say a genre. Probably graphic novels and poetry. Now I read graphic novels all the time.
5. What book world would you live in?
I finished this one today on the ride home. I have the hardcover, but opted to listen to the #audiobook since it was so cheap on iBooks. Overall I enjoyed it and may pick up the second book in the series. It was also a nice distraction from the 6 1/2 hour drives I did Friday and today.
Today is National Cat Lady Day! I‘m definitely a cat lady who is missing her little cat like crazy right now. I got her results from her X-rays and she has asthma. They want her in on Tuesday to have blood work done and to test for bloodworm and heart worm. Pretty sure after hearing they want to test for that if my drive hadn‘t been 6 hours today I‘d have brought her with me.
1. Romance and Fantasy and Graphic novels
2. General Fiction 🤷🏻♀️ I don‘t read much regular fiction I guess
3. Horror and Historical Fiction
4. Maybe fantasy
5. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I had never really read any historical fiction, but I loved it.
6. I don‘t think there have been any I have loathed as opposed to just wasn‘t crazy about.
Updating my list of arcs and making sure they are all on my kindle for my trip to Maine this weekend. I cannot wait to have a half day of work tomorrow and to be off on Monday. It is much needed.
I loved this little book, but then I love anything that has to do with Audrey Hepburn. I see a marathon of her movies in my future...especially my two favorites Roman Holiday and Wait Until Dark.
👗👗👗👗👗/5 (we are just going to pretend that those are little black dresses)
After a stressful day and not feeling too hot due to the stress and anxiety, I can now relax with my little girl and Audrey. I got the ebook for super cheap on my kindle.
My little cat made it through her X-rays this afternoon. Thankfully the pills the vet had me give her worked and it was no trouble getting her into the carrier. Now we just have to wait two days for her results and then June 20th she has dental work done.
Not book related. My anxiety is high tonight. I have to take my little cat to the vet after work tomorrow for chest X-rays to see if she has asthma. She fights me and has literally forced me into cancelling at the last minute before and hides somewhere I can‘t find for hours. That said the vet is having me give her a pill tonight and again at noon tomorrow in hopes she won‘t care when it comes time to put her in the carrier. I just hope it works.
I finished this one on Thursday night. I am still trying to put together an actual review for the blog I want to start back up, but I enjoyed it and once I got into the story I just wanted to keep reading. The character of Ambri was someone who I found liking more and more. I liked all of the characters actually, even the minor ones. I‘m ready for more books by this author. Also I really want to go to Portland now.
I am driving to Maine next weekend and then again in a month. What are some good audiobooks that aren‘t very long because I only ever listen to them while driving the 7 hours it takes to get to my parents? I am game for almost anything.
In the meantime here is an adorable photo of my cat.

Rainy night snuggles with the birthday girl and some Game Of Thrones Oreos to snack on while I read. Perfect ending to a ridiculously long day.
