Thanks for the tag @dabbe 😺
I only got 19% I think me and AFI have some very different movie picks. But I do love these three 🖤

Ch 1: well, this started off with a bang! #harkerisofftodraculashouse #thelocalsareallfreakedout #givinghimalllllthecrosses #switchingtothatcreepycarriage #whatcouldgowrong #wolves #wolvescangowrong #plusthatcreepyseethroughdriver #amostexcellentadventure #staytuned #hashtagbrigade
Starting Dracula for #hashtagbrigade during school dropoff!
We usually walk, but it‘s raining, and my husband usually does it, but he‘s sick. I arrived early enough to park which meant I was stuck while the line of cars went around. But I had just the right amount of time to read the first chapter!
My edition for this month‘s #PemberLittens #HashtagBrigade was a purchase I made through Book Outlet several years ago. I really like the cover!
About to dive into Chapter 1. I‘m also doing Dracula Daily, which is Dracula deconstructed by date, so this will be fun!
Happy vampire info dump day! 🤣
Also, this entry always makes me wonder how the story would be different if everybody just listened to Mina. #DraculaDaily
I‘m getting ready to read Dracula with the #pemberlittens in October. I love this edition as it has a clocked red cover, gorgeous end pages and stenciled bats. And I love this mug from Target!

Ok #hashtagbrigade it's time to start thinking about October! If you would like to be tagged in next month's book, drop a comment to her.
Everyone is welcome, just remember, my hashtags are often ridiculous and always chapter spoilers, so don't read my post until you've read the chapter. We will read a chapter a day in October.
My version has 27 chapters so we will finish before Halloween!

My Halloween aesthetic:
Black cats, Dracula and The Historian (my 2 favorite books represented by Vlad the Impaler), werewolves, silly ghosts (how I loved my Casper comic books as a kid), witchy books, 🖤 cemeteries 🖤, spooky Legos, beautiful fall colors (if we had them here in south Texas), my fave Disney movie Coco (I‘d love to do ofrendas), and Halloween readathons, bingos, and games on Litsy!!

I loved the writing style of the book. Reading through diary of the characters made me care for them. It seems to have leveraged the reader's whole different level of intimate raw true experience of a person when you are allowed to peep into their personal diary. And as always, love the selfless portrayal of friendship and trust. Happy ending is a bonus.
I‘m back home from Dublin, but daughter stayed for a two-week literature class. Today they toured Ireland‘s National Museum of Literature. (How did I not know about this museum while I was there??) Knowing how much I ❤️ Dracula, she sent this photo. This is its first paperback edition.
This is great! Dracula Daily. 🧛♂️
You read the novel in the timeline of the story. You too, can & should read Dracula.
We're on the Demeter now so you'll have to go back to the beginning if you can or wait for the next full read.

Getting a 4 week old baby void to pose for a photo is quite a daunting task. May I introduce Vlad. He was found in our yard a few days ago following a storm. He is already proving to be a wonderfully snuggly reading buddy. Happy Caturday! #litsylove
Went to a Monster Movie Museum this weekend. And saw Dracula's Ring :)
Been reading Dracula via Dracula Daily (the book is emailed out on every day that matches a journal entry). And I‘m sorry but yesterday‘s opening line is hilarious. Like how do I picture the grand-daddy of horror seriously now.
#draculadaily
I love this!
Behold! My Dracula stack! #SundayFunday
My first paperback copy from high school, the paperback copy with all my notations and highlights, my copy of Dracula Daily, one ebook (out of two), and one audiobook (out of two)!
Probably my favorite classical novel. And I can‘t wait to read it again starting on Friday! ❤️🦇❤️ #DraculaDaily
This is calling myself out, because #DraculaDaily starts on Friday this week. Because it‘s definitely the tagged book. I have one hardcover copy, two paperbacks, two ebooks, and two audiobooks. 😅
When I get home from work, I‘ll post a picture of my stack. ❤️🦇❤️
#SundayFunday Have a great day, and don‘t forget to tag me in your posts!
All right Littens! Let‘s make this official! If you‘re keeping up with Dracula Daily, use the #DraculaDaily hashtag if you post anything about your thoughts! I would love to see everyone‘s reactions as we follow along.
Starting next week! May 3rd!

Saw this in a Book Riot newsletter & had to share! You can read epistolary novel Dracula by Bram Stocker in real time! Starts May 3. And it‘s free! Details here: https://draculadaily.substack.com/p/dracula-daily-starts-in-two-weeks-24c?utm_ca...
Don‘t forget, my #DraculaDaily Littens, that Re: Dracula is going to be reuploading their audio dramatization of Dracula on the same days the newsletter goes out. ❤️🦇❤️
I listened last year, and honestly, this blew my socks off. I prefer this one to every other audiobook of this that I‘ve listened to. https://pod.link/1679833472
I‘m excited for the #DraculaDaily coming up! Question? Is there a group (hashtag or discussion or something)? Just curious 👀. 🧛🏻♀️. https://draculadaily.substack.com
It is time! ❤️🦇❤️ #DraculaDaily

This is, like, my 4th read. This time, I listened to an audiobook (not the one with Alan Cumming and Tim Curry, though, blast!) and it was so fun! This is, certainly, problematic in places. However, the lore is SO STRONG that even today, few stray from it. (If they do, we get sparkly vampires. At least she tried something new. Bless.) Anyway, still a solid pick.
“She is one of God‘s women, fashioned by His own hand to show us men and other women that there is a heaven where we can enter, and that its light can be here on earth.

What a fun audiobook! I love when there are multiple narrators 😁 This is a classic book and I completely understand why 🥰 I enjoyed the story and can‘t wait to rewatch van helsing now!
3 May. Bistritz— Left Munich at 8:35 p.m. on 1st May, arriving at Vienna early next morning; should have arrived at 6.46, but train was an hour late.

Discussion thread
Apologies for the lateness, I was distracted irl.
So, did you enjoy Dracula? I'm interested to know your thoughts.
🧛♂️ Did you like the epistolary format?
🧛♂️ Do you think it added to the suspense and tension?
🧛♂️ What do you consider to be the main message of the book?
🧛♂️ Do you think there is a subtext or deeper meaning?
🧛♂️ Why was the book banned?
I'm so happy that I finally read this book. It was wonderful and the perfect read for #scarathlon! Plus, I got to check off a October bucket list item by reading out by my pool this weekend while it was simply beautiful out. Now it is just cold and gloomy.
#rereadtheclassics @AllDebooks
James Tynion is taking on Dracula!!! This first issue is fantastic—gorgeous art and a fantastically creepy vibe. Cannot wait to read the entire run. This is going to be fun. 🧛

Pumpkin carving with the family! And I just had to start one of my favorite Halloween stories while carving this little fellow! 🎃
I haven‘t read Bram Stoker‘s masterpiece since I was a teenager and when I tell you this book gave me the same goosebumps that the original novel did year ago I mean it. Absolutely wonderful. Gorgeous artwork and of course familiar yet unsettling story. #scarathlon2023 #scarathlon #mischiefandmayhem

1. ❤️
2. Tagged. I had to go with a book I love, even though it‘s a bit awkward to use a ❤️ emoji for Dracula!! 😂😂
I love reading your responses to these posts. Always fun to see if there are more books to add to my tbr list.
So I‘ll go first: Dracula! The Historian is a close second. It‘s a coincidence that they are themed. I just love both these books, as well as The Count of Monte Cristo, but it‘ll be awhile before I read that chunkster again.
#scarathlon #batbrigade and all teams and everyone else!
@Catsandbooks
I listened to 3 books so far for #littenlisten for a total of 290 points + 1 for this post. #scarathlon #batbrigade
I‘ve read Dracula many times but this was my first time listening to it. A really fun experience! But I got really fed up with Van Helsing, which I never experienced with prior reads. Tim Curry is brilliant narrating his parts but dang is Van Helsing long-winded and quite the know-it-all! 😂 I can‘t help but wonder why the other characters don‘t call him out for being so condescending! Anyway, loved it. #scarathlon #batbrigade @Catsandbooks

(1) caramels
(2) Dracula
Thanks for the tag @The_Penniless_Author and sorry for the delay 🙃
Four, five, six?? I‘ve lost count of how many times I‘ve read my favorite book. But this, hopefully, will be my first time to listen to it. I say hopefully because I started it last year but didn‘t finish it. I‘m already enjoying it immensely. #scarathlon @Catsandbooks
Reposting for @alldebooks
Our October #Rereadtheclassics #buddyread is one of my all time favourites, Dracula. Perfect for #Scarathlon and will be reading the Audible version with multiple narrators for #Littenlisten
