Had not read any reviews on this one so didn‘t know what to expect. Grabbed me from the very beginning and can‘t put it down. Currently at the halfway mark.

Doing a bit of audiobooking while working on my first ever corner to corner crochet blanket. The colors are actually very lovely ombré purples. I‘ve been listening to the newest collection of King‘s short stories off and on since it came out. Finally finished it today. While there were some stories I like more than others, this was a great collection!
I saw loads of love for this one everywhere particularly on bookstagram. Haunted house stories being my fave I jumped on the bandwagon. Sadly, this one fell flat for me. Don‘t want to say too much as I don‘t want to give any spoilers for others but the story veered off from a haunted house story into a genre that is one of my least liked & I try to avoid. The writing was good, the story just wasn‘t for me.
This one was so good i devoured it. Vlad was a bit more literal. I didn‘t realize this one was third in a series. It read as a stand alone. There is quite a plot twist in the middle of the book that I certainly didn‘t see coming. Turns out I‘ve read the first in the series so now will go back and read the second. Hope to read more of these characters in future books. #catsoflitsy
Wow! That was one heck of a ride. Now I understand why there are few details when folks review this book. It‘s just too difficult to accurately describe without giving out spoilers. This was a quick read-in-one-evening story but really packed a punch.
Everyone is scattered about today doing their own thing, leaving me to find time to paint and audiobook the newest Stephen King. Clearly I would not be able to paint without my little helper.
Getting a 4 week old baby void to pose for a photo is quite a daunting task. May I introduce Vlad. He was found in our yard a few days ago following a storm. He is already proving to be a wonderfully snuggly reading buddy. Happy Caturday! #litsylove
Sunday morning book and brew. If you like your psychological thrillers full of twisty turns, then this is the book for you. A spooky old manor house set in the English countryside is always going to be an immediate read for me.
Sunday mornings are for books, blankets, biscuits and Bruce Wayne (aka Sir Chonkasaurus). I‘m fairly picky about werewolf novels, but so far this one is pretty good.
*Edit: Gonna call this one Werewolf Lite. More like a romance with a touch of werewolf thrown in. And even though I don‘t care for romance, this was still a good story.
Love the art in these books!
You may have a slight book addiction if you‘re checking which ebooks are on sale while you stand on line at Barnes and Noble to pay for the armload of books you‘re impulse purchasing. 🤦🏻♀️
I can‘t speak highly enough of this book.
I‘m very much a mood reader, so it‘s difficult for me to plan a reading list. 🤷🏻♀️
My reading buddy, Bruce Wayne, kept me company while I took my notary public exam and now we‘re above to dive in to Old Country by Matt and Harrison Query. This one is giving isolation and old world spirits vibes.
Simone St. James is an automatic buy for me. Her storytelling gets better and better with each book. And this one was absolutely AMAZING! Full of mystery and heavy on the creep factor! Grab this one as soon as you can and stay off the dark, deserted roads.
Jinkies, gang! It‘s time for some spooky mysteries! If you‘ve only ever read E. Nesbit‘s stories for children then you are missing out. She wrote some amazing gothic ghost tales that keep the chills coming. Perfect for a chilly evening by the fire or on a Sunday while the holiday dinner is in the oven.
It‘s a chilly, windy day here in Florida but we can still take a trip to the beach!
Books can come to our rescue when we least expect it. Stuck in a waiting room for longer than expected? Pull out a book! Too much people-ing? Read a book & escape. Today a book came to my rescue at the DMV. We got married at the end of February (Leap Day)& I had yet to change my name on my license. Thought I had everything I needed until the clerk asked for 2 pieces of mail with my name & address on them. I had nothing. Then I remembered …
Audiobook and another blanket on the hook. Happy Sunday reading!
I really enjoy Rachel Harrison but this collection of short stories is only about a three and a half star rating.
Saturday snuggly reading - nothing beats a cozy blanket and a new book. Have heard loads of good things about this one. Im a sucker for a spooky house.
Last night it went down to the 20‘s (F) in our area of Florida so today is a day for snuggling in bed with a good book and warm biscuits with butter and honey.
Doing a bit of audiobook knitting today. Mike Carey is also M.R. Carey, the author of The Girl With All The Gifts. He also worked on some of the Hellblazer (John Constantine) comics. The Devil You Know is the first in the Felix Castor urban fantasy series. Felix is an exorcist living and working in London. Love this series.
Cozy day under the blankets reading spooky books from my childhood.
Spooky book, spooky mug, hot chocolate, spooky cozy blanket and curious reading buddy. An excellent evening.
Idalia has been here and is still holding out for a bit longer, but I think we‘ve seen the worst of her. Unlike the majority of our town, we have been very fortunate to keep power the entire time. Reading and napping till she‘s gone. love this wonderfully illustrated copy of Frankenstein. #idalia #florida
I was 6 years old when this book was released & remember our teacher reading it to us. I was immediately in love with both the story and the artwork. I had my own paperback copy that I read repeatedly & read the same copy to my children decades later. I‘m pretty sure this book (& a steady diet of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone & The Addams Family) helped spawn my love of all things spooky. Was so happy to find this as a hardback. 🖤
A bit of Sunday afternoon organizing.
This was a great mystery/thriller. Couldn‘t turn the pages fast enough and was guessing until the end. Will be seeking out more books by this author.
A bit of audio knitting in the car while waiting for my son to do a quick supermarket run. Happy Fourth to those who celebrate!
Suburban Hell by Maureen Kilmer was not at all what I was expecting and in the very best way. I thought this was going to be a fluffy brain candy read that would quickly be forgotten. Instead, I found a page turning, unputdonwnable, in one sitting read. The characters were well rounded, believable and relatable and the story creepy and intriguing. Currently tied for first place in my favorite reads so far this year.
Happy Sunday! If you haven‘t read read this yet, get on it pronto! Keep It In The Family started out as a slow burn but suddenly John Marrs blindsides you with bombshell after bombshell. Just when you think you have everything figured out and you know where this story is taking you, Marrs grabs the wheel and takes you down a road you didn‘t even know was there. This was my first John Marrs book but will certainly not be my last.
When your bookmark is seriously accurate. Hahah 🤣Going to spend today reading and napping. Bring it, Saturday! 😁
Happy Sunday! Wow! Did not see that ending coming! Was a bit down as I thought I had figured out the mystery fairly early on. Couldn‘t have been more wrong had a I tried! LoL I wasn‘t overly fond of Sager‘s previous two books but this one more than made up for it. Nothing like good mystery/thriller and hot chocolate on a chilly rainy Sunday. Florida can‘t decide which season we‘re having. #Sundayfunday
Can‘t read these fast enough! Am I the only one who sees Bea Arthur in the role of Ruth Zardo? 🤣
Wow! Hundreds of Littens are not wrong! This one was fantastic! My only regret with reading this book is that I didn‘t read it sooner. I see a series binge coming. So happy when I discover a series I love and there are so many books in the series.
Celebrating National Introverts Day with this volume of gothic stories perfect for snuggling under a warm, fluffy blanket and ignoring the world outside.
Working on squares for a blanket while audiobooking Caretakers. The colors in the photo aren‘t true to the actual colors, thank goodness. 😁 Trying hard to not DNF this audiobook. Will not make my top of 2022 list for sure.
Just thought I‘d share a photo of our new reading buddy, Fuzz Aldrin. Although, at the moment, she seems to be prohibiting any reading. LoL 😂
Current kindle read:

A cozy Friday night in with my favorite detective.
Finished up Umasked by Paul Holes yesterday and now reading The Ghosts of Sleath by James Herbert. @Andrew65
1. The Lying Game by Ruth Ware
13 Best Horror Stories of All Time
2. The Ruins Not exactly as positive look at nature but…🤷🏻♀️
3. If reading in my car on my lunch break in order to depeople for 30 minutes counts, then It was The Lying Game on Friday.
@rachelsbrittain
Not only my current read, but also how I‘m feeling about household chores today. 🤣
Let the weekend reading begin!
