1. Yes. I was going to guess 500 but decided to go ahead and count. Turns out we have 916 books currently. 😱 I don't know how that happened lol
2. I only finished like 4 books this month and they were all OK.

It took me years to get around to this book, but it was worth the wait. It‘s an intriguing premise with a memorable cast of characters. The mystery at the beginning was especially interesting. If I had to critique, I would say the first half mystery carried itself better than the second half hero vs. villain plot. Here‘s hoping Miss Peregrine and her peculiar children continue to mystify and intrigue in the second book.
I‘ll preface this by saying I loved the first 2 books in this series. That being said, I hated this book. It literally felt like pulling teeth to finish it. I tried to make a list of what I disliked, such as the slapstick no-stakes action, the robot characters, the bad dialogue, or the irritating frequent narrator asides, which took me out of the story every time. But it can all be summed up with poor writing. Not even the romances could save it.
So this read like a cross between A Dirty Job and a Finlay Donovan mystery and I was totally here for it. A great mystery, engaging characters, and an interesting premise. What happens to the souls we leave behind is an old question, and this book doesn‘t try to answer it, but rather, thinks about the implications in a funny, tongue-in-cheek sort of way. Lots to love here.
Buckle up if you‘re ready for a series because this one ends with cliffhanger that introduces the next novel! This was a pretty decent read, although it did have a little lull in the middle. It was a refreshing story with the time period and innocence of the main character when it came to relationships. On the fence if I will read the sequel. I think I‘ll wait for the coworker to read it and see if she recommends 🙂
I loved Edward's POV, but this was sooooo unnecessarily long!
Look at this amazing tree! It is a Bristly Locust
And, I very much enjoyed this book. 🐦⬛ I think Maggie Stiefvater is pretty good at what she does.

I had a great time. Love a man with an Irish accent. Can‘t wait for Mandanna‘s next book this year!!

It's been 9 years since I read the first book in this series, City of Bones. I felt I was able to get back into the world with no problems. I like the world of the shadow hunters. It's hard to explain what is going on here, but the book ended on an epic battle that was fun to read. We get a lot more of Jace in this series, and Simon too.

Following an idea from @Tove_Reads we are launching a #Readathon throughout May to read books from our own shelves, called #ShelfSweeper.
We hope you will join us. This Readathon is dedicated to the memory of the wonderful Litten @eanderson who will be sorely missed, so as well as your own shelf why not challenge yourself to read one book off her shelf. We are also using the tag #4Elizabeth
