July was a good month.. I've read 8 books in total and all were 4⭐ or more, so it's not easy to pick a favorite!

Red Rising trilogy 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (all the stars in the sky!!!!!!)
The Bride Test 💕💕💕💕
The Raven Boys ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Addison_Reads Red Rising💚💜💙 Such a great trilogy. Now book 4 was not as good as the original 3, but I'm still excited for the next one. 4mo

Volunteering June and July did impact my reading totals both months. My favorite five star books were the pictured books. The Island of Sea Women is a re-read for my book club.

My goal for August is to work down some ARCs. And reviews. Onward!

Okay didn‘t do too well on my planned Reads in July, the first half of the month it was difficult to find time to read anything but audiobooks and also had issues with some library loans.

I read 9 out of 18 planned reads, but did read 19 books altogether.
8 of the 19 were audiobooks.
Read over 8000 pages during the month - don‘t have the final figures to hand.

The month started well, in a bookish sense, with a holiday where I read nearly 6 books in a week.

Then, the next holiday at the end of the month was not a reading break - only 1 book in 5 days. It ruined my monthly totals! 🤣

Some great books this month though....

TrishB Great choices 👍🏻 5mo
Andrew65 @TrishB Thanks, although not much chance for reading over the next two weeks, will have to catch up when term finishes two weeks today. In that manic period at the. Moment! 5mo
Tove_Reads Just got the message that my books have finally arrived, and Follett‘s is one of them! Will also read Mariana, it sounds good! What about E George? 5mo
Tove_Reads Is it your last day now or do you still have to go back next week? 5mo
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Still one week to go! 💤 @eadieb Got 60 reports still to do this weekend, the end of year report to governors to be written this weekend which needs to present to governors on Monday and my appraisal report to write this weekend ready for my appraisal meeting also on Monday. Also this coming week have to write the School Improvement Plan and Self Evaluation document. Both big documents. 🙈 (edited) 5mo
Andrew65 Also this weekend need to take in the Cricket World Cup Final that England actually have a strong chance of winning. 🤞🤞🤞🏆 @eadieb @Tove_Reads Cricket is my first love amongst sports. 5mo
EadieB @Andrew65 Will you still have time to do the Group Read for The Camel Club? Sounds like your weekend is all tied up with reports. 5mo
Andrew65 @EadieB Made a start so I can gauge the length of the sections. I need to read it as it needs to go back to the library before we go away. Just need to be hyper-efficient with work. 5mo
EadieB @Andrew65 Ok sounds like a challenge! 5mo
Andrew65 @EadieB You know how I like a challenge. 5mo
EadieB @Andrew65 👍🏼 5mo
Andrew65 @EadieB The first section will most probably go up to the end of chapter 13. 5mo
EadieB @Andrew65 I figured that as there are almost 600 pgs. in my book and we have 6 days to read so about 100 pgs. would make sense. 5mo
Andrew65 @EadieB Yes I was looking to read it over 6 days. 5mo
Tove_Reads @andrew65 @EadieB Could only find that book in German, so won‘t take part in this LT buddy read. Waiting for our next ones though. Picking up the next Binchy this weekend. I guess Andrew has a million of books to read (like all of us). Can‘t wait to dig deep into historical fiction; Follett and George. I have to say that I feel like Follett doesn‘t get credit enough for his books, just his trilogies, but not the rest. 5mo
Tove_Reads @andrew65 You can easily do it! Just one more week to go! Think of all the rewards after that. By rewards I naturally mean books. 5mo
Tove_Reads @andrew65 @eadieb I can‘t believe it!! After two months I‘ll finally get Gun Street Girl. It‘s on the way to my library. That person so deserves the late fees! 5mo
EadieB @Tove_Reads is there any other type of reward? Oh yes! Ice cream! Well @Andrew65 can have some ice cream too! Or whatever other reward he wants! Candy, Victorian cake, etc 5mo
EadieB @Tove_Reads How do you know they are finally returning it? 5mo
Andrew65 I can start The Man From St Petersburg as I‘m doing this by audio. @EadieB @Tove_Reads 5mo
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Thanks, worked stupid hours and exhausted this weekend but still plenty to do. 5mo
Tove_Reads @EadieB The status of the book states “on its way” in the library system. 5mo
Andrew65 @EadieB Books, ice cream, chocolate...all good. @Tove_Reads 5mo
EadieB @Tove_Reads I‘ll start it too and read it along with The Camel Club. I started Gone by Mo Hayder too because I‘m doing it as an audio. @Andrew65 5mo
Tove_Reads @andrew65 @EadieB I can start Follett tomorrow. I should start Gone as well. 5mo
EadieB @Tove_Reads Sounds good! 5mo
Andrew65 @EadieB I‘m still working on Skin. @Tove_Reads So far behind on a couple of series so will take me a long time to catch up. 😔 (edited) 5mo
EadieB @Andrew65 You'll catch up soon after the 19th I'm sure! 5mo
Tove_Reads You‘ll catch up soon! Can‘t wait to discuss all the books we‘ve read and are reading. I‘ll finally get Gun Street Girl this weekend, so I‘ll catch up on my McKinty. 5mo

Overall, a much more successful month than June, and I got to a whole load of books on my TBR finally, aside from focusing on my mountains of ARCS. I did do 2 readathons, and got to my #LMPBC plus my #HorrorPostalBookClub picks.

RadicalReader @Well-ReadNeck what has been your favorite or most memorable mystery that you‘ve read? 1y
Well-ReadNeck Two series that I LOVE are: Daniel Silva‘s Gabriel Allon books (I just read the lastest, The Other Woman this month and it was fab) and SJ Rozen‘s Lydia Chen/Bill Smith series (each alternates POV between two detectives). The first one was a Lydia book, the next Bill and so on. @RadicalReader (edited) 1y
