The Rising Tide by J. Scott Coatsworth is another amazing space adventure filled with suspense and this time, a sudden dash of horror!

This is the second book in the Liminal Sky series and just like the first, I found it near impossible to put this down. I was so immersed in the story thanks to all of the intense action, the plot, and all of the amazing characters!

Human Flesh by Nick Clausen was a creepy and very unsettling tale of love, the cold, and horror!

Once I started reading, I couldn‘t put it down. Organized as various pieces of evidence, we see text conversations, blog entries, voicemail transcriptions, emails, and newspaper articles, all of which get darker and darker as the story progresses.

Chase Darkness With Me by Billy Jensen is a fascinating tale about the path of a true-crime writer and how be began to help authorities and the family members of victims solve cases using social media.

I‘m a huge fan of the Jensen and Holes podcast. When Billy announced that he had a book coming out, I preordered a copy immediately!

This book was exactly what I was hoping for.

This book was just so much fun to read. It had a great plot, wonderfully suspenseful pacing that kept me totally hooked, and such interesting characters. There were fantastical elements and mysterious elements that popped up throughout the tale.

A Monster Of All Time: The True Story of Danny Rolling is a true crime novel that discussed the horrible actions of a true monster.

Far too often, I‘ve found that true crime tales focus on just one element of the case, rather than giving the full picture.

That wasn‘t the case here; this novel was wonderfully written!

The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper by Phaedra Patrick is a lovely tale about love, loss, and overcoming things from the past to enjoy the present.

If you enjoy stories with a little sadness, but a whole lot of heart and growth, then I highly recommend this one to you! The main premise behind the movie UP came to mind while I was reading this.

Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant is a heart-pounding, spine-tingling tale of horror set in a remote area of the sea far beyond the reach of fast-acting rescue. This book is one of those rare finds that is just so wonderfully written and perfectly horrific that I want to shout about it from the rooftops to make sure horror fans go out and snag a copy immediately.
