I am at home for the next few days with a chest infection on some areas of my lung have collapsed with that. Hoping to do a lot of reading and avoid the America V Australia 'we don't want these refugees. Well we don't want them either so you take them' sadness. Starting my reading with this. 50 pages in and a lot of rape.... Side Note I would yell at Turnbull also but about my lack of NBN... and so much more. 🇦🇺

Sigh. I wanted to love this. I really enjoy stories of gods walking earth but this just seemed so cliche . I feel like so many other stories did this better such as Neil Gaiman. I won't continue with it. I am glad people like it though.

I am loving this book. I have been thinking about reading some mysteries for a while as I never really have and someone told me to start here. I love Agatha she is so snarky and great. I do want to try some Agatha Christie out as well.

This was a huge disappointment off the back of what could of been a pretty good series. The end feels like a cop out.

One of the libraries near me has an excellent selection of graphic novels. The two you can't see the name of are the Wicked and the Divine.

Ahhh!! I understand that the writing is amazing and the story is very well thought out but I don't think I can do classics like this at the moment. I know that books like this are products of their time etc etc but I just can't deal the gender and race issues. Maybe it won't infuriate me so much in a year or so. ^this is how I fee after reading that and also the Australian heat is killing me and him!

Wow. I remembered this just as an adorable book about some animals interacting with each other. I had completely forgotten the entire plot. Took me a little by surprise. Naughty Toad!

This was wonderful. I loved it! It was really moving and i have a great interest in woman's daily lives in the Middle East. It also helped me get back into reading after the loss of a pet. P.s this pet is fine. It is just very hot this side of the world

Thanks to everyone for the kind words in reply to my last post. There are too many of you to reply individually but I wanted to thank you all. It is so very hard losing a pet but well worth it for all the joy they bring.

I enjoyed this so much I bought the second volume, pretty much straight away.

Heard a lot about this book and then Audible Australia had it as a free download this month. Hooray! This is a great book on Audio. Very amusing and is a legit history that includes indigenous populations. Really like this one. Although I could do without the accents. He is doing them for all nationalities but still a little .....

This is a re read so I am listening to it on audio. Still one of the best from King in my opinion.

I enjoyed this book soo much. I have been in a reading slump since before Trump and then the whole Trump thing just made it worse. This book though just grabbed me from the start and I just flew through it. Really a great take on zombies and a really thorough plot.

What does everyone who has read Withering Heights classify it as? I have trouble with calling it a love story. I think of it as a story of obsession and what that can make people do to each other. *side note it was our first 38d day since last summer and this guy could not deal😂

Giving my Monarchs a rest after reading Edward VIII. I can't stand that guy. Working my way through these two for now.

Don't know how I feel about this one

This is the third book in the Penguin Monarch series that I have read. I also read Henry VIII and Edward VI. These are really good starting points for anyone interested in the monarchy. They are well researched and very short therefore they remain interesting and don't get dry. Will be reading the rest of the Windsor's next.

So I had a breakdown like many after the election and did some retail therapy. Parcels have started arriving. Apparently I felt like collecting a bunch of SciFi. Really want to get into some of these soon

The last of my cousins Christmas books arrived. A few other things to give her as well.

This book was really great. Should be read by all loners. It is a nice validation that you aren't a terrible person. Was a really good look at loners in all aspect of life.

This happened in Bentleigh, down the road from me in the last couple of years! Absolutely disgusting. This is only the second page. I think it is going to be an infuriating and important read. When my family came to this country we were told the same thing. Sent back because our language skills would be tested in Dutch instead of English. That was 100-50 years ago. We don't experience this anymore but others still do!There is a problem!

I am going to try this. I am in a weird reading slump where I need to be grabbed by a book early. So far nope but early days with this one.

This smallish bookshelf holds all my TBR. Well almost. Sometimes when I look for a new book I get sort of anxious and can't settle on one. I came across this jar option on a Bullet Journal site. Just pop your TBR in the jar and choose one. Works if like me, you find choice a little daunting.

Do I wait for this to be chosen out of my TBR hat it should I just read it.. such a great cover

I really liked this book until the end. I was not a fan of that style ending but it was still worth the read. Very enjoyable

So Penguin have released a series on The British Monarchy. I only just discovered this collection. Goodbye disposable income.
