Rereading this after many years.
A little more than half-way in and I‘m having a hard time staying with this. I can‘t get into the audio and feel like I would enjoy the book more if read.

So, I don‘t know. Half-way in and I don‘t really know what this is about. There are a lot of tangents and a lot of quotes from other people.
Not quite 3 stars for Harlem Shuffle but thought I might like Crook Manifesto better. I didn‘t dislike either, just didn‘t really like them. I‘ll probably try the sequel again later.
What I love most about Jane Harper‘s writing is her ability to so masterfully craft the landscape that it becomes its own character, serving as an antagonist that weaves itself around every aspect, moving the story forward. This one just didn‘t quite get there for me.
Still, very well done, excellent narration.

Starting today for March‘s #AuthorAMonth 🤗
One of my favorite authors with another book featuring one of my favorite literary detectives.
@Soubhiville
Indeed, the wait is over. 🤗
I didn‘t know the Oscar nominated film American Fiction was adapted from this novel but I‘ll have to watch it once I‘ve finished the book.
2nd reading of this one, first in print several years ago and now on audio. I was in love with this the first time I read it. Not as wholly captivated the second time around but still a solid 4-star. It‘s a heavy book but Lauren Groff‘s writing is superb, as always.

Two audiobooks were so good that I listened to them every free minute and stayed up to finish. Books that long and that good-when you‘re so close you just have to go for it. The Fireman and Wolf Hall.

Just started The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store on audio today and still reading The Vaster Wilds in print.

Always one of each going at all times. Just started The Last Lifeboat audio.

Well, this one didn‘t disappoint. The second book by Freida McFadden I‘ve read and the second one I didn‘t like. ⭐️⭐️/5 only because it might have been less ridiculous with better editing, maybe? Am I the only one who thinks this?
I was going to read this last month but I held it for February #AuthorAMonth
I have read and loved each Lauren Groff I‘ve read (Fates and Furies, Florida and Matrix) so I‘m really looking forward to this one.
@Soubhiville
I can get lost in any Stephen King dark-fantasy novel and not only believe the story could happen, but that it is. Clemence Michallon‘s crime novel, not so much.
Back from a week away in Vegas at a trade show and it‘s nice to know nothing has changed. Love my pups and our weekend morning snuggles.

I saw the movie and am looking forward to reading the book. What an amazing story.
I‘ve read a lot of Michael Connelly Bosch novels but surprisingly, not Haller. Here we go!
I‘m glad there was a mini series made of this because I had a hard time following the book.
Jane Austen is an author I really want to love. I could watch movie adaptations of her novels all day. But I just can‘t capture the nuance in her writing when I read her books. I‘m going to keep on trying, though.

Waiting for holds so thought I‘d listen to this in the meantime. I can‘t believe I‘ve never read this.
Winter finally came to town. It‘s officially dog sweater weather! If you need to reach me I‘ll be here all day. 🤗

1. Yes! A beverage is a must at all times. LOL
Morning reading with coffee, afternoon reading with Diet Coke, evening reading with hot tea or room temperature water.
2. Currently, tagged with water.

Hey @THill wanna play?
First day home from vacation and before Christmas gets put away I think I‘ll just sit here with coffee and a new book. 😊

Is there anything Dennis Lehane writes that doesn‘t completely wreck you?
Gritty, hard, bleak and so sad with just a nugget of hope.
First finished of ‘24 and I won‘t be surprised if it‘s one of my top reads of the year. #prediction
Citrus Bowl bound.

Strangely enough, Libby had no Kate Morton audiobooks, so I‘ll be finishing 2023‘s #AuthorAMonth challenge with this one from iBooks.
@Soubhiville
I‘ve always enjoyed Jodi Picoult and this thought-provoking novel is no exception.
This started out ok. An interesting storyline, but it‘s drug on a bit and heading into the fairly ridiculous. 80% in and I‘m still interested to see how it ends, though, so there‘s that.
Just another Sunday morning cat in tree and dog on table. 🤔
I‘m just going to sit here and read. 😂
Happy Sunday!
Not quite halfway through and I‘m just not connecting. The story and character development seem slow at this point in the book. Im going to keep going and hope it ends up a pick by the end.
And just like that, it‘s Christmastime. LOL 🎄
Happy Black Friday to all who observe. I‘ll be on my couch reading.
My week so far. I didn‘t not like Sag Harbor, just wasn‘t in the mood coming off of Nightbitch, which I loved. The Wife Upstairs is so-so so far.
Getting through a working Sunday with audio.
