I am a huge Crime Junkie fan and really excited to start this.
Summer storms brewing. No power. A little bit of daylight left to read by.

Why? Why have I waited so long?
Beloved on audio, read by the author, was staggering. One of the most emotionally impactful works I‘ve experienced. This one is no less.
My third, and least favorite, Erik Larson. I would have loved if Edward Hermann had narrated. Not enough of the suspense, intrigue or glamour of some of his other accounts to keep me engaged.

I always enjoy Alice Feeney. This one has felt a bit tedious so far but I have a feeling I‘m in for a surprise.
**sob** I loved it all. A slow build told with agonizing and steadfast heartbreak. Friendship, loyalty, family, love. All will be tested. Are there any winners? Bang.
@CollapsingLibrary I must know. Book 2 on hold.
“Money, Mississippi, looks exactly like it sounds.”

Finally, I‘m going to hear what the fuss is all about! 😀
Very excited to start this after a very. long. wait.
I read this series years ago and liked it so much I decided to give the audio a try.
Why have I not read Emma Straub before? I loved this. Poignant but with humor, it was charming and relatable.
I loved this so much. Made all the better by Marin Ireland‘s narration.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Up next: I haven‘t heard anything about this one but I‘m a sucker for anything narrated by Marin Ireland.
A reread for me for April #AuthorAMonth. First time in print and this time audio. My first Ruth Ware (I‘ve read all but one) and still one of my favorites. Plus-Imogen Church is amazing.
@Soubhiville
I didn‘t connect with this book at all. It wasn‘t bad, it just never seemed to go anywhere.
We don‘t get far on the weekends. #mustbesunday #typical
I was going to wait and read this for April‘s #AuthorAMonth but I waited almost 5 months for this audio hold from the library so here goes.
I think reading the book instead of listening to the audio would have made all the difference. I did not enjoy the narration and felt lost the entire story. I‘m not even sure what happened in any comprehensive way. Was humanity saved or destroyed? I‘m not really sure.
I‘m only 10% into The Stone Sky but this hold just came in and I don‘t want to wait.

Starting the last book in The Broken Earth trilogy.
Short book with a big punch. There are a lot of themes to consider in this novella. It‘s depressing and bleak and tragic. Definitely not for everyone, but I like Steinbeck a lot because his writing gives me perspective.

A book I didn‘t want to be over but couldn‘t wait for the end. My second favorite by this author.

Not sure where this is going yet but it‘s giving me M3GAN vibes. Sort of.
Just finished a reread of Malibu Rising for #AuthorAMonth. Still working on the print version of Carrie Soto Is Back but it‘s slower going.
I‘m sort of underwhelmed by TJR novels but this is my favorite of the three I‘ve read.
@Soubhiville
Jeremy Irons‘ voice is so good and adds a whole other layer to this book.
Starting next on audio.
Starting book #2 in the Andrea Oliver series.
One of my favorite authors read by one of my favorite audiobook narrators.
There is a lot to process in this short follow-up to The Passenger. It‘s dense yet it didn‘t feel altogether complete to me. Still, a pick.
The narration was so good and I think I enjoyed the book more because of it.
The plot twist seemed really predictable but there I was with a *gasp* anyway. The ending faltered but overall I really liked this.
I got a little lost in The Passengers and I think it was because I was so intrigued with Western but faltered with Alicia.
The 2nd book tells Alicia‘s story and I hope it draws me in.
Thank you so much @Soubhiville for your generosity and the wonderful 2022 #AuthorAMonth surprises from the random drawing. I was not expecting four books!
I have not only not read any of these books but have not read any of these authors, either. Looking forward to 2023 #AAM

A week off Litsy for a trade show in Las Vegas but things are back to normal now.

Starting my January #AuthorAMonth pick. I‘m looking forward to reading this new-to-me author.
