#bfc round 4 week 2
I got my two day‘s of yoga in thanks to a lovely yoga class we had at all staff day and I joined my friend for hot yoga on Wednesday night ! I finished one book. And I did not get any walks in... guys I need to walk more it helps me relax can someone message me like by Wednesday and be like have you walked yet Rachel?! Haha keep up the great work everybody ! I know it‘s hard to get motivated but every step counts !

Barefoot in the beach in October at night - it was cold but awesome! Feel like this week went well even if I didn‘t quite hit all my goals - it was a rough and super busy one but I still made time for self care.

Not a great week two for me. I had one day of rain, was flat on my back sick another day, and gave in too many times to the treats in my staff kitchen. But I did get in some good walks, played whiffle ball with my son, and did tons of gardening. I also finished a second audiobook (I only count the ones I listen to while active.) Onward to week 3! I‘m feeling better and loving the cool weather.

Week 2 of #bfcr4 This week was a bit crazy!!! I am happy that I was able to fit in me time this week, even if it was short amounts of time!! I have to admit this week was stressful and I feel like work is going to be stressful for at least the next 5 weeks, fingers crossed I don‘t lose my mind!!!

Combining both weeks, as just realized I never did last week.

I‘ve had to switch back to lunchtime walks because it‘s too dark before and after work, and work has been crazy (in a good way) as I‘ve been busy screening, interviewing, and checking references to fill a new position. Home has been crazy with senior pictures, volleyball, and homecoming.

My tracking has not been good! 😬

#BFC round 4 has started out bad for me. I had zero motivation for some reason. I‘m not gonna best myself up tho. On the next week and I will do my best and get out there. If anyone is struggling know we are all in this together and I have your back!

Just the motivation I needed to sign up for #bfc @wanderinglynn . Every other BFC I made my goals too hard. I am taking it easy and moving more slowly to my goals. I will read or listen to 1 book a week! I will get 7k steps on weekdays. I will pack healthy school lunches, make dinner at home at least once a week, go to the gym 2-3 days a week, and NO MORE SODA!

Final Post of #bfcr3 I did very well at keeping track of my steps, but I lost track of my book count. I know I didn‘t meet my 20 book goal, but I started a lot of books that I haven‘t finished yet, so I couldn‘t count them for my total. #BFCr3 wrap-up:

I probably could have gotten to 18 miles on my night walk tonight, but it got a little too creepy for me. 😂

Still no sugary drinks 🙌🏻

Healthy eating has been hit or miss... it‘s officially candy corn + peanuts season. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Final #BFC update:
Goals- 4 workouts a week- the only week I “failed” on this was last week due to a long bad migraine episode.
12 books total- I read 18 total. I‘m always unsure of number of books goals because I read a wide range of long books and short books so so I‘m thinking next time I‘ll set goals about getting through subscription books are specific books? 🤷‍♀️

My final stats are definitely not what I wanted to see. I think I bit off more than I could chew this round, coupled with some depression and a reading slump that made it hard to stay on track. BUT I did read more Netgalley books than I probably would have otherwise, I‘m focusing on more veggies in our meals and I‘m walking a lot more. It might not be the progress I had in mind, but it‘s progress all the same! #brcr3 #bookdragons

I'm combining both week 6 and week 5 updates together. Week 5 i wasn't able to get any workouts done, but i did focus on food so that was one goal done that week.
Week 6 i got back to my regular schedule and was able to get a decent amount of workouts done, it was a good week. And i met my book goal.
Glad i participated in this challenge and Thank you @wanderinglynn for all your hard work towards hosting this challenge 👏👏👏

Day 40 of #bfcr3 Today I got 12,305 steps! I also got to live my dream and be a librarian for a couple hours!! It is a long story about how it happened, but it was amazing and I loved every second of it!!! I am hoping I get to do it again!!

Day 39 of #bfcr3 Today I got 11,230 steps!! I participated in fourth grade PE and I worked on these two books today. I also went to the school library and checked out 2 more books that I am really excited to read. I am doing a readathon this weekend, so I needed to stock up on books for that book challenge.

Day 36 of #bfcr3 Today I got 9,905 steps! I worked on two books today, The Isle is the Lost is a more enjoyable read & doesn‘t fill me with as much fear as Stop Teaching Our Kids to Kill, however while I am not far into the latter, I highly recommend it, it has a lot of good points & makes a lot of sense in explaining the subject matter, & sadly a lot of the points this book makes I recognize in kids I work with.

Ddzmini No how about teaching our children common sense and consequences of their actions... now that‘s what I want to see happen again 1mo
AsYouWish @Ddzmini Me too!!! I work with a student who blames me for everything, and I am trying to teach them that it is their actions that are leading to their consequences. 1mo
Ddzmini @AsYouWish I know and his/her parents is probably not helping right I alway told my daughters that they had to respect the teach like they did me otherwise there are consequences I don‘t see parents doing that with their children very often ... I think that‘s why there are so many issues in school these days 😰 1mo

Day 35 of #bfcr3 Today I was able to get 3,706 steps. I had another day on the couch trying to kick this cold. I am feeling better, just a stuffed up nose now. I am working on reading Wicked and I am having mixed feelings about it, not loving it, but not truly hating it either. Just feeling somewhere in the middle.

Week 5 check in for #bfcr3 #bfc
Goal- exercise 4 times- I only got 3 in because I was battling a migraine most of the week so that meant taking care of my health by taking an easy.
Goal- read 12 books total- I‘ve read 14

Day 34 of #bfcr3 I was able to get 2,350 steps, which is pretty good since I slept most of the day trying to get rid of this cold. I didn‘t get any reading done, but watched a few movies.

Chrissyreadit @Gissy it‘s hard to get the fat and protein because I was vegan. I had to add dairy in and it‘s breaking my heart but I love the veggies in general. It‘s doable if I get my health back 1mo

#bfcr3 only one week left! I had a HUGE mood boost this week when I was given a clean bill of health after 3 years of post-op cancer checkups. Wahoo!!! So I have a lot more energy/enthusiasm than I've had in AGES and I'm getting much more active. Hey all! Hope everyone‘s week has been good! For this week I didn‘t get any yoga in. I regret this but I never found the time !! I did get one walk in and technically 2 hikes collecting rocks and crystals . Yesterday I spent that day at an amethyst mine it was so lovely ! This morning I ran a 5k in the corporate cup. Day 33 of #bfcr3 Today I got 10,220 steps and read a couple more chapters in The Isle of the Lost. I feel like the school year has officially started because I have gotten a cold! Hopefully I can get rid of it this weekend, because school picture day is next week!
