I'm about 1/3 done. So far it is interesting to see the back story of the houses and who people are named after, but it reads like a history book and thus goes through like 20 years in a chapter. I'm rereading the Song of Ice and Fire right now so the switch from character POV to history book is odd for me. Also, I'm hoping to see what WINTER is! It gets hinted at, but we never actually see it!
#BFC Week 4 photo challenge. It was hard to pick a favorite read from this challenge. I have a hard time choosing favorites of anything! I finally narrowed it down to two books. It is rare that I like the first book in a series the best, but I think The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms was my favorite though I loved the whole trilogy. The Sun Does Shine was just such a great book - tragic and inspiring.
Week 4 check in-
This week was not great for my goals because I am on vacation, but I knew that would probably be the case. But I am having tons of fun so I'm not worried 😁 I decided to add a pic of me visiting Meow Wolf in Santa Fe since that's what I was doing instead of working out yesterday.
Books - this week 3 ( 23 of 20 overall)
Workouts - 2 of 4
#nonfiction2019 something with survival. I HATED this book when I had to read it as a freshman in HS, but I decided to give it another go now that I'm a grown up 😂 I actually really enjoyed it! I thought it was funny and interesting - two things I did NOT feel when I was 13.
Week 3 check-in for #bookfitnesschallenge #BFC
Book goal- this week 7 books (20 of 20 books pledged!) I am getting through so many books now that I'm off for the summer! Today I spent most of the day weeding the garden listening to books - yea!
Fitness goal 4 workouts- this week I went to crossfit 5 times and went running once 🏋️♀️🏋️♀️🏋️♀️🏋️♀️🏋️♀️🏃♀️ so fitness goal ✔
@wanderinglynn thanks for organizing this!
For this week's photo challenge I am sharing the new shoes I ordered. I have been wanting a pair of Nike Metcons for a while now. They are my welcome to summer present to myself. They should be here some time this week.
"... the story of nature itself, ever-inventive, making one thing out of another, and one thing into another, and nothing lasts, and nothing's lost and nothing ever perishes, and things can always change, because things will always change, and things will always be different, because things can always be different."
It is inspiring to see the young people us oldies bitch about being apathetic step up and strive to change the world. I thought it was especially awesome that they really made it a priority to include other groups like the peace warriors from Chicago and to try to make their cause nonpartisan. Well done young uns!
More books for the #bookfitnesschallenge #BFC yea!
#BFC #bookfitnesschallenge week 1 check in.
I read these great books this week - so good!
I also made it to CrossFit 5 times this week! 💪
I'm sore but feeling proud of myself and motivated! Thanks for organizing this @wanderinglynn 😁
This book is amazing! I have had it for quite a long time on audible and just now got around to listening to it. I can't believe how well crafted the story is. I am used to the first book in a series not being as good because they have to set so much up, but this book is just pure awesome!
One more book for my #bookfitnesschallenge and #readingwomenchallenge (read any book from a series)
#nonfiction2019 - Something with animals. My husband recommended this one and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Coyotes are cool! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
My goal is 20 books and workout 24 times. While I am in town I want to go to CrossFit, but I know one of the challenge weeks I will be out of town, so I‘ll have to do my own workouts that week.
What a fun challenge @wanderinglynn !
