Wrapping up my #AprilStats a little late. But I‘m keeping up with my #goals so far.

Happy May reading everyone.

My April goal was to see the ortho doc and figure out where we go from here. It was overall a good visit, and we have a plan for at least the immediate future. I‘m still looking to get back to some gentle hikes in the woods, weather and schedule permitting. I also need to schedule some non-ortho appointments for overall wellness.

I finished six books, which was not as many as I would have liked but the most so far this year. ⬇️

Susanita My reading goal is to finish book club selections and #authoramonth and at least one #bookspin pick. 3w
wanderinglynn I‘m glad your visit went well. Great goals for May! 🙌🏻 3w

April was good! Took several outdoor walks, completed the Yoga with Adriene yoga challenge (super proud!), meditated daily, read 11 books. The only goal I didn‘t meet fully was 64 oz. of water daily, but I only came up short 6 days. Keeping my goals similar for May: 1) read 9 books 2) meditate daily 3) complete the YWA May challenge 4) do 3 walking workouts each week 5) 64 oz. water daily 6) try 2 new smoothie recipes
😁

April End-of-Month Update: lack of consistent motivation, resulting in lack of progress

May Changes: Starting Noom, for more structure to my diet

May Goals:
1 - Read Noom lesson daily
2 - Track food daily in Noom app
3 - Read daily devotional
4 - Walk 3 times per week

wanderinglynn Some months are tough. 💜 Great goals for May! 🙌🏻 3w
TheAromaofBooks Do you overall like Noom? I've thought about trying it from time to time but never have. 3w
julieclair @TheAromaofBooks I do like Noom. They give you all the tools you need, and explain the psychology of weight loss, in a very positive, upbeat way. Tracking food in the app is easy, and I like that it‘s calorie based, rather than points based (like WW). 3w

TheAromaofBooks Thank you for the info!! I may look into it more seriously. I really fell off the exercise bandwagon in April! 😂 3w
julieclair @TheAromaofBooks Yeah, falling off that bandwagon is way too easy to do… 😂 3w
TheAromaofBooks Almost as easy as falling ON the snacky-cake bandwagon! 😂 3w
julieclair @TheAromaofBooks Funny how they seem to go hand in hand... 🤔 3w

🥳🥳🥳 It‘s only April!

I‘m also 23/50 books on the Popsugar Challenge, but only 5/16 on the BOTM Challenge.

This book sounds great and something of interest to #pemberlittens @sprainedbrain

The piece on the author is lovely. I found the excerpt above particularly inspiring 💕 https://www.theguardian.com/books/2022/apr/10/rereading-jane-austen-has-transfor...

Centique Thank you for posting this. What a life affirming interview! I love the idea of reading arcs too, that fits so well with how I feel reading books that really move me. This has really painted a vision of how I want to live my 70s and 80s! #goals 1mo
batsy @Centique Exactly my feelings 💕 I love that she is still so curious and engaging with reading in a way that challenges perceptions. Also the doctorate 🙌🏽 1mo
DivineDiana This is fascinating! Broke my buying ban, and just ordered it! 😞 1mo

Sophronisba I love this so much. My go-to different-every-time book is Great Expectations but now I'm feeling the urge to reread Austen. (Also, I honestly believe that a love of reading is one thing that can take you into a happy and fulfilling old age. I am only 50 now but I am happier than I have ever been and when I think of my later years I imagine myself curling up on a comfortable couch with a glass of wine and Middlemarch or Trollope or Willa Cather.) 1mo
batsy @DivineDiana A ban meant to be broken? 😁 1mo
batsy @Sophronisba I love this for what it says, too. And maybe I'm simplifying it too much but the people I know who seem to have a tendency to nurture their inner life (either through reading/writing/art or doing absorbing things that is both work and pleasure) seem more fulfilled, or maybe less likely to expect others to fulfill their needs. If that makes sense. Perhaps that helps as one gets older, too. It's a lovely piece that gives hope 💕 1mo
sprainedbrain Oh, I love this! Thank you for sharing. ❤️ 1mo

#WeeklyForecast along with a #BookReport

I caught up on a bunch of books this week, but fell way behind on reviews.

So #Goals for this week, is catch up on reviews!!!

Deifio Project Hail Mary is so good! If you can try out the audio for this, it's more fun I think 2mo
