Not telling u what to do, but wanted to show u how I track what I am reading. I use Notion. It is free but can be alittle hard to start if u dont know what u are doing. If u want to do something like this, I would suggest using a free template like I have. But once u get into it, its so easy. I love it becuz I can customize it the way I want to. I dont do it, but u can put notes with each book. U can use Notion for so many things, not just books

📕Sorry if you are sick of seeing my posts about #BookishMonopoly.📕

I am really really loving how much i am reading and what I am reading with this challenge. I get to read books that I wouldn't normally read in a fun fun way. I am currently on my 13th book of the year. I read almost 90 books last year when I didn't even do this for the whole year. Believe I started this around September. It has really helped me get away without going anywhere⬇️

Rolled 10. Just visiting jail. Rolled 12. Took me to Chance. Chance was 6. That took me to Water Works. I‘m currently reading the book that‘s been on my TBR the longest (from #LitsyLove anniversary readathon this past weekend). Now to finish it. 🤓

I've never run a challenge before so forgive me for the many things I'm sure I'm forgetting.

You will need your own dice, dice app or you can ask your phone's digital assistant. The first tab has the board. The second tab has all of the cards that you can screenshot to make posts. How I'm ⬇

ShananigansReads Playing: I will roll the dice and follow the prompt I land on. After the book is read, I will collect the point value assigned to the card. The Chance and Community Chest will generate random numbers every time you open the board. The prompts are on the second tab.

Last year I did Bookopoly for the first part of the year and had a lot of fun with it. It was my first time making a board, though, and I got bored with my rolls. They were too restricting. This year, I tried to make things a bit restricted in some cases, but broader in other instances (fantasy is on the board 6 times, for example). I am excited to see how this goes and am currently reading my first book picked by the board! (Finn was helping...)

bookishnerd @kristenm I just go looking. My cards are specific. Community Chest is 24 books I want to read in 2020. Chance is 16 authors I have more than one unread book by. I do have series listed I want to start/finish. Basically I was trying to do of planned reading and then still have some flexibility. I can be moody. lol 4y

We've been playing for 2.5 hours and I still haven't gone broke. I'm trying very hard, my daughter won't let me.

I want to lose, because then we can have dinner and after that we can read.

Congrats @MaleficentBookDragon on your milestone. And thanks for the wonderful #giveaway you‘re hosting. My family used to play “Loteria,” which if like the Mexican version of bingo. Instead of numbers and a letter they had drawings. Now that I think about it, they probably used pictures to make it easier to play for those who were illiterate. Anyway, we had so much fun playing it as a family. I may have to purchase a set soon. #letsplayagame

Peddler410 My sister got “Loteria” for my daughter two years ago from her trip to Cuba, I think it was that trip. There were no directions and she only bought it because it looked cool. Maybe now I‘ll have to find it. 6y

TheBookAddict @Peddler410 😂 I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen a set of loteria with instructions, so it doesn‘t surprise me. You just shuffle the deck of cards and call out the card that you pull out. Once you‘ve formed a line on your loteria board you just call out “buenas” and you win. To make it interesting we would sometimes say that to win you had to get all 4 corners or fill the whole board. Sometimes we would also put money in. 6y

Librariana I loved playing Lotería as a kiddo when I was growing up in México and I remember when we moved to the States, being so amused by Bingo. I was like "It's just like lotería but without the cool pictures!" ? My husband was just recently gifted a Star Wars lotería for his birthday when we visited Texas during the holidays ? 6y

TheBookAddict @Librariana 😂 we always played it when we had parties or just when we got bored and the weather didn‘t allow us to go outside. When we would visit family in Mexico if we didn‘t play Loteria we played the pirinola (I think that‘s how it‘s spelled). A Star Wars Loteria sounds amazing! I wonder what other kinds of Loteria there are now. 6y

Congrats to @MaleficentBookDragon so to honour your #letsplayagame #giveaway here is a pic of a game I played as a kid and still play today!! This crokinole board was always in the spare room at my Grandparents house, it was hand made by my step great-grandfather many, many years ago. A couple of years ago I asked my Grandmother for it. We still play it. My Dad made one for my sister for her Christmas gift this year!!

FantasyChick At risk of humiliating myself, my grandmother had this game when I was a kid and I swore it was a knitting loom. I never used the game for anything except twirling yarn around. They never corrected me, just let it happen 😂😂 6y

Why play regular Monopoly when you can play Star Wars Episode 1 Monopoly? My eight-year-old LOVES Monopoly, which I guess is good practice for math even if this game takes FOREVER!
