The Tie That Binds | Kent Haruf

I‘ve had Haruf on my radar for a while & intended to grab myself a 2nd hand copy of any I come across. The first I found was Our Souls At Night, which I read & loved a couple of years ago.
Then this one turned up in my own little street library. I rarely take books from my own library, because I mainly have it to dispense them!
I see that this was Haruf‘s first novel, & the other I read was his last. 🙏

Enjoying a cozy Sunday with some #MiddleGrade titles. It's snowy here in Detroit, at last! Hope everyone is keeping warm and enjoying some down time. #KidLit #CurrentlyReading

JamieArc Rosetown looks lovely. I heard that we here in Lansing are going to get a lot of snow Wednesday. Today it‘s just a pretty flurry that‘s not sticking. 1w
mcctrish Both of these look lovely. We‘ve got snow in London, ON for the first time since December 22 which lasted until Boxing Day. 1w

I‘m goin‘ in @CarolynM 🤞🙏. A totally new-to-me author and genre. A much-loved author to Carolyn, who gifted me this copy. There are many ways to be an influencer 😅😘. #currentlyreading

Ruthiella Enjoy! I‘ve only ever listened to one Vicky Bliss book, but it was great. 1w

So anyone read and recommend any of these?

Loving the bibliophilic aspects of this book 📚💕

Bookwomble I read The Shadow Line so long ago that I can't remember anything about it, other than that I enjoyed it. I'm not sure how helpful that is! 2w
ImperfectCJ I enjoyed both Wide Sargasso Sea and Sula. 2w
batsy The ones I have read—Wide Sargasso Sea and Mrs Dalloway—are pretty perfect! 2w

Lcsmcat Wide Sargasso Sea, Sula, and Mrs. Calloway are all wonderful. I haven‘t read the others, but I would trust the list. 😀 2w
