I could not get into the tagged book. DNF for me even though very short.

20 - Started out very promising but enemies to lovers fizzled quickly. The “tension“ felt swept under the rug but atmospherically was fantastic.

4 - Hurt to mark that low since I devoured the first in the series. Excruciatingly slow, then nonstop last 10%. FMC still pissing me off but Blakes development 😍!!!!

Tagged & Butterfly Garden were the best reads of the week. Beautifully done while staying dark & twisted. Heading back into the Legends of Thezmarr series & loving it so far. The opening chapter alone was amazing.😍

TBH highly disappointed in lack of FMC growth & substantial plot in Bond That Burns until the last 25%. At least that is one of my #readyourkindle down for the month. Highly recommend the audiobook for tagged. The narrator was phenomenal! The #netgalley #arc was my favorite. Unique in a genre thats heavily overpopulated now with so much action/political drama.

Absolutely loved Blood & Steel so much I bought the rest of the series. Tense, action filled with phenomenal in depth characters. Sapphire & Steel was decent but conflicts were resolved too quickly for all the build up with zero consequences.

Vivid, humorous & down right chilling. A vibrant fantasy gothic retelling of Snow White with an extremely sharp FMC on the heels of a profound mystery. Very slow burn since the beginning heavily focuses on Anja‘s journey to being fascinated with poison/plants. It picks up heavy midway and throws you right into mystery & intrigue. Not surprised that I adore another Kingfisher novel #Netgalley #arc

4 ✨ Unsettling, Savory & Grotesque

Not my preferred sub-genre within horror but I was highly entertained from start to finish. Plethora of social commentary. Some feeling too close to home. Plenty of body horror & emphasizes on family division specifically through a political scope. Was enthralled with watching the family slowly disintegrating, not only mentally but physically. I could not help but devour the entirety.

TBH the FMC for the tagged book has made me set it aside for almost a week now. I should really pick it back up since it's BOTM for a #Fable group. Problem is I have minimal desire even with all the hype around it. On the other end, I am only 20 pages into Red Rabbit & I want more 😍

Absolutely loved this. The MC's & side characters all have major personalities. Torj stole my heart. He is here to speak truths & cause mischief. Look forward to definitely continuing this series. I do have an arc to read, but I desperately can‘t keep my eyes off these other two 😍😍

I don‘t post about this. I am a firm believer everyone is entitled to their own opinions whether mine coincides with/against those. Watching the address while I personally know & see many hard working people suffering. Attacking our allies while our stock market plummets. My heart has fully broken for this country. I feel a constant reminder tonight that history does repeat itself, just hope I‘m wrong. #ranttime

Newest finished book vs newest edition to my library

Had to drag myself through the first 20% but well worth the pay off. I saw so many complaints about the writing style of this. Growing up reading Tolkien, the writing style wasn‘t difficult to get through. 4✨ & I can‘t wait to get my hands on the next installation in October.

Words cant describe how much I loved every bit of this. Love, loss, lust, betrayal, war, politics, adventure, violence. It has so much going on, but still maintains fluidity. The friendship between Kenna/Anya is breathtakingly beautiful.

Other read was phenomenal!! Supernatural 19th century gothic where a twin comes to her sisters aid when losing her sanity after encountering centuries-old murdered woman in the bog. #arc #Netgalley 4⭐
