I think I may have a bookmark problem! After sorting out my bookmarks, I‘ve not only filled this giant mug, I also have another normal size mug with metal bookmarks, a glass full of bookstore bookmarks & a box full of magnetic bookmarks & bookjig ribbon bookmarks. Next time I use an envelope or bill to mark my place I‘m gonna slap myself🤨

I‘m sure everyone has a way of keeping track of what they read. For me, I make bookmarks like the ones in the picture. It‘s simply a picture of something that has to do with the book. Then I buy small self laminating sleeves & put the picture in those. When done with each book, I write the book title, author & my rating on the back. I store them in a notecard case. It‘s exciting to not only keep them but see where I‘ve been. How do you keep track?

Day 9 #FallIntoBooks #Bookmarks I'm better with bookmarks since Litsy & have expanded my collection though I still tend to use other things like paint sample strips, pretty ribbons, envelopes, promo material from book tours... I also leave them in books & lose them-at least temporarily. These were the ones I had ready to grab but I can think of several good ones that are missing. My faves are the Winnie-the-Pooh from @LibrarianRyan & Powell's.💜

What I made today
I found this in a copy of a book I loaned to my significant other a while back. I saw him *gasp* dog-earing the pages, so I made this beautiful bookmark. Not very artistic but it gets the job done.
Was cleaning out some stuff today and ran across my old copies of Bookmarks magazine. I saved just about every one I ever received. Are there any other publications out there like this? I know I can read some online but I would really love to receive something like this in the mail
Update on these little leaf bookmarks - Thanks to @geodynamical for pointing out that they are supposed to go inside the book like this, not sticking out the top. Now they're not getting caught on everything, and i open my book to an adorable little sprout 😁 🌱

I have been collecting bookmarks for 50 years! I have beaded ones, and carved wood and bone ones, magnets, playing cards, stamps and handmade paper ones. I have them from all over the world-I'm lucky to have friends bring them to me from their travels. I have one made from corset stays and one made from bra straps. Some that are crocheted and felted. I've gone and lost my Harry Potter bookmark! I slipped it in a hardcover book I started on Monday while I was packing up for work, and by the time I got to my desk, it was gone!
