It was great fun reading lines that are word-for-word in the movie. The movie has slightly better storytelling. Bradbury does an amazing job as the movie's narrator. #Halloween #BookToScreen

I‘d never read any ray Bradbury before this October and now I‘m obsessed! I‘m so lucky these stories are on audible plus, they‘re completely magical and I see myself rereading a lot. I wish some of my friends would hurry up and have kids so I could be the fun aunt who buys gorgeous whimsical seasonal books for them 🎃

My #HauntedHollowSwap vibe this year is vintage & campy. I am grooving to movies I watched with my kids when they were little - Casper, Haunted Mansion, Hocus Pocus - but also some annual re-reads (Christie‘s Hallowe‘en Party) & re-listens (full-cast version of Bradbury‘s Halloween Tree). I am a huge fan of ghost stories and adore books by Sarah Rayne and Simone St. James. Bring on the witches, jack-o-lanterns, ghosts & goblins! @wanderinglynn

pickI love the way Bradbury tells a story. His work is deceptively complex and I enjoyed this Spooky Season exploration of friendship, adventure, imagination, grief and death. I might not make it an annual tradition, but I would consider reading it again.
