A very interesting read about the paper shortage and its effect on a specific publisher.

Who's got really good YA suggestions for my book club? We're meeting tonight, and I think we're leaning towards picking something YA for our next meeting 😁

Thanks in advance!

swishandflick One of my favorites 1mo
Cailey_Mac I really liked A Curse So Dark & Lonely, Nocturna, These Broken Stars and if you want a contemporary I really enjoyed Rayne and Delilah‘s Midnight Matinee 1mo
mom2bugnbee Anything by John Green. I think that his newest, Turtles All the Way Down, is his best and would be great to discuss, but so would Looking for Alaska & Paper Towns. 1mo

Melissa_J You‘ve probably read it already but I‘d go with 1mo
Stacy_31 One of my favorites reads so far this year- 1mo
mom2bugnbee Other thoughts: anything by Becky Albertali and/or Adam Silvera (they each have several, plus one they wrote together). The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X. R. Pan is one of the best books I've read in recent years. Dante & Aristotle Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Saaenz. Ruta Sepetys if you want historical fiction. (I have a 16yo & a 14yo, so there's a lot of YA in my house.) 1mo
BookFreakOut My book club enjoyed Unwind, lots of discussion possibilities and it can stand alone (there are three others but they were written much later). 1mo
LibrarianRyan I second Unwind. Fantastic book. Plus it is quite relevant to things happening today in the news. Think Handmaids tale. 1mo
ShyBookOwl I third Unwind! So much to talk about in there. 1mo
Laughterhp I think it‘s technically YA and it‘s really good! 1mo
Laughterhp Or anything Sarah Dessen 💚 1mo
TheKidUpstairs Thanks everyone for your suggestions! Small turnout tonight, so we'll be discussing next read online, but I've thrown a few of your suggestions into the ring! @Laughterhp @ShyBookOwl @LibrarianRyan @BookFreakOut @sherryvdh @mom2bugnbee @Stacy_31 @Melissa_J @Cailey_Mac @swishandflick 1mo
Reggie I know it‘s a little late but it‘s pride month so maybe We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson or The Music of What Happens by Bill Konigsberg. 1mo
TheKidUpstairs @Reggie I didn't even think about it being Pride month! But two of our top three choices so far involve LGBTQ MCs, so it all comes together! And thanks for the recommendations, definitely adding this one to the TBR 1mo
