I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I went into it thinking it was going to be spooky, was down for the ride when it became a story of forbidden love, and was especially into it's eventual transformation into a tale of revenge. This was a great new take on a classic story and I recommend this to anyone looking for a bit of witchy folklore in their lives.

Thanks for the tag @CindyMyLifeIsLit ❤️ #thoughtfulthursday
1. Loved tagged book, am picky about graphic novels. (Although Sandman by Gaiman is also perfection)
2.🐉👽🧝‍♀️🧞‍♂️🧜🧚‍♀️🪐
3. I‘ve always loved Fantasy and Sci fi - escape from reality, imagination, world building- all of it.

Anyone else want to play?

KathyWheeler Sandman was my first graphic novel. I branched out from there and now love Joe Hill‘s Locke & Key and the Saga books. I‘m sure there‘s more but those 3 are my favorite. 5d
Chrissyreadit @KathyWheeler I read the first couple Saga‘s but after hearing that there is a horrible plot twist event I can‘t bear to read more- I need an HEA 🤣 5d
KathyWheeler @Chrissyreadit I understand. If I‘d known about that plot twist, I might never have read Saga at all. I was shocked and upset. 5d

I think the book is fun, but pretty repetitive. It is a cute book though! Fun to have for my collection.

This full-cast audiobook is a successful adaptation of a middle grade graphic novel, second in a series. You don‘t need to have read the first one—I didn‘t—yet it probably would have given me a quicker connection to the characters. Although we‘re talking about a recording that‘s only an hour long. It‘s about friendship & first crushes & a girl feeling left out because she hates all that romance stuff. #asexuality #LGBTQIA+

Cute second book in the Stepping Stones graphic novel series. I always enjoy Lucy Knisley. This middle grade series is fiction, but largely inspired by Lucy‘s childhood.

This one would be good for October if you want something light and sweet to mix in with your spooky reads. Set on a farm/pumpkin patch during the lead-up to Halloween.

Late night soup making.

What a weeeeeeeeek - I‘m working this weekend so I‘m not even halfway 😩🫠

Linsy ☹️ At least you'll have food! But I'm sorry, that sucks. 1mo

Tamra That looks really tasty! 1mo
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @Tamra, I tried a random internet recipe because I couldn‘t find Mum‘s recipe - so hopefully it‘s good (but realistically Mum‘s recipes are impossible to beat 😋) 1mo
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @julesG, I‘m at the point where small things feel like big things and I‘m trying real hard to keep it together (I‘ve got Monday and Tuesday off but that feels very far away) 1mo
