New month, new book! This month, we are reading “The Overstory” by Richard Powers. We hope that you will join us in reading this month‘s book selection.

lynneamch I noticed this on a post where @tpixie mentioned it to @aimeesue. End of September is busy for me, but I'd love to check in on the discussion. Will try. 2mo
tpixie @lynneamch we‘d love to have you! Even if you haven‘t read it! Just to say hi!! And you can tell us about #NatBookFest !!! 2mo
lynneamch @tpixie I actually have read it, but it's been awhile. Fortunately, have it peppered with post-it notes, so perhaps I'll gain some specific recall looking at those. I was blown away by him at NBF. So glad littens will be reading it together. 2mo
tpixie @lynneamch I taped a lot of the interviews on C-SPAN-2 Book TV. I‘m hoping he‘s on one! 2mo
BarbaraTheBibliophage Nice! This is my IRL book group‘s next pick. We meet right after the discussion you‘re having! 2mo

Discussion Question Number One.

megnews I was not really surprised. At first because of Billy‘s seemingly erratic behavior and her reaction to it, I thought there might be a substance abuse issue. I started wondering if something was up when she was at the cemetery for his funeral. As time went on I became convinced he was her dad but I thought it was an addiction that caused the tragedy. (edited) 4mo

Samplergal I loved the book. It makes you think that there are many shades of grey. No black and white. I didn‘t change my opinion at all because I think it‘s totally up to a woman and her dr. Period. 6mo
