13- Includes a recipe
14 - Set in a Canadian province
15 - Involves an exploration
16 - About sisters
17 - New in 2022
18 - Set in a hotel
Favorite is Subdivision, the least one is Our Country Friends.
Just 7 prompts this quarter…. So 10 more to go…..
#booked2022
I really enjoyed all of these…. And this challenge always pushes me outside my comfort zone…
3 Non fiction! Some YA! And Fantasy! 😌📚💕
I finished the second quarter of #Booked2022 already! The books I chose are:
1. About a fictional royal: The Shadow King
2. Written by a journalist: The House at Sugar Beach
3. Author born in Africa: We Need New Names
4. Make your own prompt (A Dutch book): We Slaves of Surinam
5. A nautical novel: The Still Point
6. A murder mystery: The Aosawa Murders
Half of them I used for #ReadingAfrica2022 too but I‘m always happy to #doubledip 😇
1st quarter #booked2022 - Finished 6 from different seasons and only two were on my original plan. 😂😂
#1-Beheld by TaraShea Nesbit (surprisingly good)
#4-Issac‘s Storm by Erik Larson (better than expected)
#6-Herland by Charlotte Perkins Gilman (exactly as awful as anticipated)
#8-Moneyland by Oliver Bullough (okay)
#12-Cruel is the Night by Karo Hamalainen (#LMPBC)
#13-The Epic Fail of Arturo Zamora by Pablo Cartaya (CM Library Community Read)

This review is for the graphic novel or illustrated version of Booked. As with Alexander‘s Crossover, it‘s about much more than sports. In this one, Nick deals with some difficult situations while also playing soccer. He has a great support system in his family, best friend, and the school librarian. There are also a lot of literary references and interesting vocabulary with definition footnotes.

In 2022, I‘m going to focus my #bookspin and #doublespin efforts on the books that are 1/2 finished and have been skipped over (for what feels like) many years! I love a list!
And with these books read in the second half of the year…. I‘m all done with #booked2021
Thank you so much for organizing this fun challenge… can‘t wait to start on 2022!
I‘m done!
I‘m in the process of trying to switch over from Goodreads to StoryGraph, and actually having some luck now that they have an app. 🤞🏼 for next year to be properly recorded on StoryGraph. In the process of switching I realized one of the things I really like about StoryGraph is the way they record challenges, and I found that really helpful for finishing up #Booked2021 That‘s one of my goals for #WrapItUpReadathon completed!
