⭐⭐

The 1st of 2 books my daughter asked me to read to her tonight. We got it from the publisher's book sale. It was just a so-so for me, though. I know some kids really do have over active imaginations, but it seems as if this book encourages kids to tell lies.

Thank you for the cute card @jenniferw88 - I love that‘s he‘s flying a book, although it took me a little while to notice! 🤪

I hope that you enjoy the book when you get round to reading it.... 😘

Loved, loved this book about a fictional female spy in Argentina at the height of the Cold War. The chapters alternate between her time as “Anne” in Argentina, planting bugs and listening in on dissidents, and her life in Maryland and New York as Vera that leads her to the CIA. 4.5⭐️

@8little_paws didn‘t you really like her first book, too?

Cinfhen I keep seeing this book but hadn‘t seen many reviews 😍Thanks for posting and sharing 👍🏻 2mo
Megabooks @Cinfhen No problem! 👍🏻 I hope you enjoy it if you try it. It takes a few chapters to get her flow, but once you do, it‘s pretty great! 2mo
JennyM I read this one for the prompt too. I enjoyed it. A different kind of political intrigue! Glad you liked it too 2mo

While not as engaging as her first book, Unmentionable, this book is still pretty good. The #audiobook is well narrated. It‘s a conversation between a modern parent and the same narrator from Unmentionable. Both actors really engaging, but I didn‘t find the bones of the story as interesting. 3.5⭐️

Megabooks Can I ask a question booked 2019 ladies? What exactly does genrebusting mean in this context? Can someone give me an example? 2mo
