I didn‘t connect with this novel story because it was like some kind of forced, conveniently constructed to just have something related with September 11 events. That‘s how I felt as a reader. However, during reading time, I absolutely transpited my thoughts of what happened that day and it was devastated to me. Just like I feel when I read novels about the WWI, WWII or any other tragic event. Still don‘t understand why ⬇️

May 2025 Book #1 I started the book the previous month but finished it on May. Like this author‘s writing style. Stories are inspired on real facts and it‘s interesting to search for the real facts while reading. I liked the twists and ending. 4⭐️
pickTress is determined to figure out what happened on the night her parents disappeared, and her methods have a Poe-like flare. Some of this tale is a little far-fetched--the chapters from a panther's point of view--but the story is addictive. It is mostly about a destructive friendship. I'm glad I have the second book.
pickAnother Christmas break book. #15 in the series. They are good stories with good characters. Help to get my mind off life for a short while. I appreciate the themes and conclusions.

I hadn‘t expect to bail on this one since I enjoyed Vuongs debut novel, but there‘s that. This one too is well written but to me it was rather boring. Drugs and poverty are often a recipe for a repetitive story and unfortunately this story is no exception. I didn‘t care enough to finish it. I have to admit audio didn‘t help either, my mind kept drifting off.

pan2⭐️ this is a vampire love story where our MMC finds the reincarnation of his soulmates soul every generation. The best part about this book, was it was short enough that I could finish without having to DNF. Oh, and I get to take another one off my Kindle. Finished Sunday for July‘s #BobWhiteBuddies this one (#15) & Trixie & the gang are visiting Mark Twain country—St. Louis & the Mississippi River when mysterious papers left in her hotel room by the previous occupant soon have her & the Bob-Whites mixed up in some very dangerous dealings. This one I remembered a lot of—probably because Trixie gets in over her head. Also I get very frustrated when the group splits up ⬇️
This is a heartbreaking novel, but in my case, I couldn‘t connect with how the plot was developed, but the theme was a powerful.
