January 2025 Book #10
I know this one didn‘t work for everyone but it worked for me. I liked the idea of a novel within a novel. The drama in the novel aunt Addie wrote was so silly, maybe too long but I lol. It was like watching the movie Clue but without a murder. When you thought you had the answer another ridiculous situation appeared. It was fun but the ending also has nostalgic, sad moments for aunt Addie. I like these covers😍 3⭐️

LeahBergen Lovely review! I enjoyed it, too. 😊 2d
Ruthiella I‘m so glad you liked it! 😃 2d

I knew this was going to be about Haymitch, and I didn't quite know how to anticipate actually liking this story. But I appreciated that his story, until the Reaping was pretty pleasant. He wasn't tortured. He was just poor, and he had love. It made the rest so much more heartbreaking. This might actually be my favourite Hunger Games story now. #15-2025

Lucas thinks he‘s attained pure happiness through living alone, but a meddling neighborhood council turns his world upside. I love Backman and while I enjoy his novellas, I wish they were full novels.

This was a pretty good collection of tales. A couple stories are okay, some are really good. Recommend to fans of urban legends.

Not in database.

This was an interesting read. A young girl became engaged to a dead man who may have been murdered. I thought this practice was fictional until the notes at the end. The paranormal aspects of the book were interesting and confusing at the same time. I kept getting my characters mixed up. However, I highly enjoyed the ending. 3.5⭐️

TheAromaofBooks This was one of those books that whenever I was reading it, I wanted to keep reading it, but I had trouble getting myself to pick it up again after I would set it down. 7mo

So good! Fast paced, the characters I already love doing their thing and a plot that gripped me. #15 in the series.

Book #15 of 2024: “Death is a Lonely Business” by Ray Bradbury

I enjoyed this one. It‘s got a strong sense of melancholy with a whisper of hope. A good mystery that kept me engaged.
