The new cover can get the attention for a read who likes to read summer topics, mine is an old copy. This novel…😳was so bad for me😐it didn‘t work for me at all🤦🏽‍♀️If this is the author writing style and common topics, I‘m not interested then to read anything else. Sorry for the fans out there. 1⭐️

Gissy But the good news is that I read this novel for #AuthorAMonth @Soubhiville which gives you the opportunity to explore new authors to me, to see if I like a specific novel, if I like the writing style, or topic etc. well, with this one I discovered that this author is not for me😃

July 2025 Book #3

I read this book out of series order and didn‘t realize would be the author last novel☹️I didn‘t like much this novel. I found it a little bit rushed and forced. Maybe because I read it out of order?🤷🏽‍♀️Even though I like always the family drama in her novels. So sad that she retired. I loved Paradise trilogy and Winter series was my favorite. 3⭐️

Gissy I have many other backlist novels by her, unread, which means I will feel she is still active 😃

TheEllieMo I read this a few years ago, and again more recently for my book club. I love the relationship between grandmother and granddaughter 2w

TheEllieMo @julieclair it was more than six years ago and we didn‘t take notes back then, so I don‘t have a record or the discussion, but I recall there was a lot of love for the writing and plenty of positive discussion around the themes in the book 2w

julieclair @TheEllieMo I think I‘m going to add this to my list of potential book club books, for the next time we pick books. It‘s a bit different from what we normally read, but I think they would really enjoy it. 2w
