Fourth in the new bunch. ... and the principal is still sleeping. Classic. #21-2024
I love, love, LOVED the first Coyote book and this one was just as great. Coyote Sunrise is one of my most favorite characters of all time. She has the biggest heart and the best wit (for a 13 year old). Wally and Doreen were the right people to join the pod. My 3 answers: The Remarkabke Journey of Coyote Sunrise, Camping on Whidbey Island, & PB&J (strawberry). Book #21 in 2024
I am freakin‘ delighted with the mind of Ross Gay and very delighted by how many books he has released to the wild.
In essay #21 “(Foot- End- Etc.) Notes”: “I love few things as much as I love a weird book.” So I tbr‘d Katherine McKittrick‘s DEAR SCIENCE AND OTHER STORIES. He also references Diaz‘ Oscar Wao, “where the author pokes his head through the curtains of the novel” 😃 I thought that novel a wonder. DELIGHTS!
Classic, crisp illustrations with a darker color scheme in this version by Jessie Willcox Smith. Originally published in 1912!

This 65pg novella packed a lot in here. A group of horny teenagers plan their graduation party near the site of a nuclear disaster. When they go exploring they realize there are things and people still moving around the abandoned reactor. This was gnarly and considering what radiation can do to a person, very gross. It was also cosmic and of the body. A nuclear fever dream. I liked it. I liked it a lot. #21 in the Rewind or Die series.
Here is my October #BookspinBingo list (#21 - 25 are free spaces) and #Scarathlon TBR. I'll do my best to stick to the list but no promises! 🤣

Book #21 of 2023: “Sitka” by Louis L‘Amour
I‘ve always loved L‘Amour‘s writing and “Sitka” was no exception. Picked this one up in Ketchikan and really enjoyed reading it as we passed through the icy strait ❤️
The wonderful characters readers love continue to warm our hearts but also raise our blood pressure with the risks and dangers McKenna always puts himself in.
Don‘t miss #21 of Todd Borg‘s always educational and stress-filled adventures of Detective Owen McKenna.
Fans will love this one as much as all the others.
