Book #21 of 2023: “Sitka” by Louis L‘Amour
I‘ve always loved L‘Amour‘s writing and “Sitka” was no exception. Picked this one up in Ketchikan and really enjoyed reading it as we passed through the icy strait ❤️

The wonderful characters readers love continue to warm our hearts but also raise our blood pressure with the risks and dangers McKenna always puts himself in.
Don‘t miss #21 of Todd Borg‘s always educational and stress-filled adventures of Detective Owen McKenna.
Fans will love this one as much as all the others.

Read in May-I liked the way the story was narrated from present to past- in a court room, Noah accused for murdered his stepdaughter (it‘s in the blurb) then you go one chapter to the past and one chapter to the present. Not a perfect crime or suspense novel because there were some obvious things that you will say, really? But the development of the story kept my attention all the time. I liked the audiobook too.
3.75/3.8⭐️
I wasn't sure how I would feel about Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, the author. But I've quite enjoyed both of her first two novels, so I look forward to seeing what comes next. #21-2023

I was sucked right in as the action happened immediately. It was easy to figure out part of the story but it was still gripping. I‘m not a fan of Alex lying to his wife, I understand why he did it but I still wasn‘t a fan of him doing that. I liked the flashback stories, it brought depth to the characters and their stories. The whole story is far fetched but I liked it!
