I was interested in reading Death in Daylesford only to find it is Phryne Fisher Mystery #21 😯 I might have some catching up to do! 😂 I really enjoyed the setting of 1920s Melbourne. We went for high tea at the Windsor Hotel for my Mum's birthday 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

thegreensofa I did an Underground Cinema experience at the Windsor. I haven‘t read any Phrynn Fisher though, (I did watch the movie but that doesn‘t really count!). 2mo
Cathy_J @thegreensofa That would be excellent! What a great setting! I went to a Dirty Dancing immersive cinema experience at Flemington and I loved it! I carried a watermelon 🍉😆 2mo
Crazeedi I think I've read 9 or so. I need to get back, they are fun 2mo

Lastly, #Fall #Booked2021 Another list with some hard prompts!
#19-Dark Academia: The Secret History
#20-a coming out story: Fun Home
#21-HopePunk: We Set the Dark on Fire
#22-mythology retelling: The Witch‘s Heart
#23-adapted for small screen: Lost Girls
#24-MC/Author with AIDS/about the AIDS epidemic: Nobody Ever Said AIDS

Cinfhen Ohhh, good to know about #SmallScreenAdaptation / I own that book 2mo
Cinfhen I really like all your choices!! Do any crossover with #ReadingAfrica22 2mo
DGRachel @Cinfhen Thankfully, yes! Five Nights Before the Summit works for Zambia (and 3 different Booked2022 prompts!) and Nobody Ever Said AIDS can be used for Botswana, Malawi, or Lesotho. Oh, and the only reason I knew about Lost Girls is that I was looking at all my nonfiction books trying to decide if an author was a journalist or just worked for a magazine or newspaper as something else and saw the Netflix sticker on the cover. 🤣 2mo

Cinfhen Hahaha that sticker saves the day!!! I have the audio 😉ohhh , I‘m gonna check out your book for the AIDS prompt xx thanks 2mo
DGRachel @Cinfhen Just a heads up - I ordered a used copy of Nobody from AbeBooks today because it‘s out of print, my library doesn‘t have it, and it‘s not available on Kindle. 2mo
Cinfhen I‘ll keep that in mind…thanks 2mo

Finished #2 in The Raven Boys series by Maggie Stiefvater: The Dream Thieves. Wow! What a ride! Even though my daughter has a pristine, autographed copy of this book (or maybe that‘s part of it) I listened to it on audiobook. The narrator was amazingly perfect for this book and made the fantastical parts even more thrilling. Where can we go from here? #132 #BookSpinBingo #21 (#BS in October) #BFC21 #SERIES2021 #THANKFULATHON #ROYALREADATHON

4 stars 🌟

One of those graphic novels where I wish there was so much more! Sorcery, murder, seduction, betrayal. Apparently based on a story in Celtic mythology. Artwork was pretty good: not overly vivid but also goes above being super simplistic.

Finished this one for a #Bingo! in my #BookSpinBingo board. It‘s the first one I have done diagonally! These books are so much fun to listen to. The narrator is wonderful and the stories give such a great break from serious things. #118 #BookSpinBingo #21 #SERIES2021 #20in4 #FallIntoReading #SeriesSeptember

Andrew65 Well done, a series I want to get to but hard to get hold of in the UK. I am slowly working my way through her Molly Murphy series. 4mo
Allylu @Andrew65 I usually listen to the audiobooks. I want to read the Molly Murphy series, too! 4mo
Andrew65 @Allylu That‘s the way I have done the Molly Murphy Series. Only read the first 4 so a long way to go. 4mo

Book #21 of 2021! I really loved this story. The characters were rich and well developed. The history of the dust bowl and migrant workers in California was absolutely fascinating. The relationship between mother and daughter was very relatable as I‘m raising a teenage daughter. The only thing I didn‘t love was the ending.

My September #bookspinbingo list. I have included 2 classics, 2 other challenge books, and 2 nonfictions this month. A little cooler weather would be nice for reading my #bookspin and #doublespin books, but here in Florida September is usually as hot as August.

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 5mo
Kelly326 I have to add the Count of Monte Cristo as my #21. I should finish that chunkster this month and left it off my list!!😩 5mo

Listened to this audiobook yesterday - it‘s only 4 hours - and it was so funny! I mean with a hero by the name of Hiccup, how could it not be. As part of his initiation to his Viking tribe, he has to capture and train a dragon. Loved his method. I laughed out loud at the antics of the Vikings and dragons. Scottish narrator was great! #101 #BookSpinBingo #21 #BFC21 #3 #TAILSandTALESforADULTS #28 #AwesomeAugust #ROYALREADATHON Mushu #HSREADATHON
