Update: There was an active shooter this morning in downtown Cincinnati at the 5/3 building on Fountain Square. News reports have been inconsistent, but I‘ve heard that there were three or four people killed and a few others critically injured. The news is reporting the shooter is in custody and some reports say he is dead. My office building was on lockdown for a bit because it‘s close to 5/3, but I AM OK. Are the other #Cincinnati Littens safe?

I can't talk about indie bookshops and not mention one of my favorite children's bookshops! The blue manatee bookstore in Cincinnati, Ohio! It's the cutest bookstore I've seen right from the murals in the parking lot (shown in the pic) to the coziest reading nooks inside. And I should definitely mention the super friendly staff with ready recommendations for all! #getindie
