I just finished the adorable Capote short story, A Christmas Memory.
I had NO IDEA he wrote Breakfast at Tiffany‘s- so I started this book & movie.I have to say, I had no idea what they were about, just that the movie is a classic.I am so off the mark about what the movie is about!! I thought she was a classy lady, not a flitsy, kept lady! I‘m curious to see how the story unfolds, So far the movie is keeping very close to the book-even dialogue!

BkClubCare @tpixie + to me, it is fascinating about Capote because people have opinions but do they really know what he is about? He is a terrific example of someone who contains multitudes. (Don‘t we all?) 1mo

tpixie @Chrissyreadit it‘s been weird - all my books have been overlapping. I was reading two books at the same time in which the main character was named Alice. Two books, one right after another, that the father was dying and the daughter was the caregiver. And now two time travel books in a row. Too bad I don‘t journal, or I would be able to keep all those books a little more straight in my head! 4mo

Who wants to come over and pack ALL of these for me? Anyone? ANYONE? The movers are going to curse me.

PurpleyPumpkin ? Thé last time we moved, I had so many boxes of books that one of the movers asked my hubby if I was in publishing. I don‘t think he understood the concept of tsundoku. If we ever move again, I think we‘ll need one truck just for books. Good luck with your move!? 11mo

Liz_M I agree, book packing is the easiest part! My first move for which I hired movers, they came and looked at my stack of stuff that could fit in a 5x5 storage room and were like "that's it?" Then they discovered that over half of the boxes contained books.... 11mo

Jas16 If I didn‘t live on the other side of the country I would just for the fun of going through someone else‘s bookshelves. But I understand- that is why I will likely never move. 11mo

KristiAhlers All the books! ❤️ I hate moving. Former military wife and when he retired I started keeping my books! But I don‘t have near as much happiness as you do! Hope your move goes smoothly. I must say I have the moving and unpacking thing down to a fine science I guess I should after 15. Gah that‘s a stupid number. 11mo

MicheleinPhilly @KristiAhlers 15???? Oh my gosh, I would spontaneously combust from the anxiety. I mean, I moved a bunch in my 20s but was always renting so the accumulation of “stuff” was somewhat under control. 11mo

KristiAhlers @MicheleinPhilly yeah I‘ve lived all over the place to include England and Belgium! Have military will travel. I mean it‘s been great. I‘ve had a bunch of amazing experiences and seen so much of the world. I have been in all of the lower 48 and Hawaii just need Alaska and I‘ll have been in all the states! 11mo

Got together with my #Nashvillelittens in person last night for the first time in 2 years! Thank God and Dolly Parton for vaccines 🙌🏼 Thanks to @ferskner for hosting us and being the best secret Santa! It was a joy to hang out with all these amazing women.
