The story is heartbreaking. For some reason I just struggled to keep going back to it. It wasn‘t a page turner.

Wonderful story with relatable characters. I laughed out loud on occasion and was like “WOW” on others. I thought about the characters even when I wasn‘t reading feeling anxious about gett back to the boo.
Now, I can watch the movie.
Toni Morrisson never disappoint me. This short story was amazing. I skipped the introduction by Zadie Smith. It started to sound like Charlie Brown‘s teacher. You only need to listen to it if you want the spoiler for the actual story.

I couldn‘t stop listening to it. Although her childhood was wayyyy different from mine I felt like I was there. I visualized everything she described. I caught myself laughing out loud at times. Very good memoir.
This wasn‘t as good as the first book. It took me a while to finish it. The ending was terrible.🤦🏾♀️
A great read about love and sacrifice. It took me a while to finish, mostly due to time. Overall, it was great.
I loved his back story. The points made were valid and noteworthy.
I had never read this or seen the movie. I finally got around to it. Now, I know why it has been a best seller for years.
This was truly something good! I listened in one sitting! 10 hours straight! It played in the car, on my breaks at work and in my house after I got off work.
Great book! I had the audiobook and Ernie Hudson‘s voice is to die for.

Took a weekend trip to Georgia to see my favorite NBA Player Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies. Hawks vs Grizzlies game. On my flight I read this new, self published release and enjoyed it.
