I opened my first present to myself when I woke up this morning. These are more feminist icon bookends from getarchd! I was all set to get the Louisville retro city skyline (those are great, too), but then they came out with five more feminist icons March 1, so I had to scoop up AOC and HRC!

I picked this up about 4,5 years ago, give or take. If you're interested in politics it's a good read. If you want to know why Hillary has the hairdo she has, it's also very informative. I just had the feeling that the real ugly stuff was glossed over, which is a pity because that would've made this a pick for me.

Went on a second trip to #bookfest today. I really wasn't feeling it; nothing was really inspiring me. However, I did pick up some books! When I went through the checkouts, the young man who served me sniggered quite loudly when he saw the Clinton book, which really annoyed me. 😡 Very rude and uncalled for. But it is the only book I was specifically hoping to find so I'm happy nonetheless.

A young lady in my last class of the day came in a few minutes before the bell and let out a big sigh as she looked at the placards of presidents I have posted in my room: "Man, I really, really, really wanted to see a lady up there." This, one of many moments that brought tears to my eyes as a teacher today.
