My first time reading this one, believe it or not. I was familiar with the story but loved reading it “officially”! 💓 Happy Easter!!! 🐰🌷
“”Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy” is the overwhelming message of this book. In Leviticus spiritual holiness is symbolized by purity and separation from the world. The wall dividing worship was later removed by God‘s invitation to faith in Christ and in his completed work on the cross, so the laws of Leviticus need no longer be observed. But the moral principles they espouse still apply today.” #BibleBuddyRead
I enjoyed this cute Jane Austen inspired novella. Perfect read leading up to Valentine‘s Day. 💖 (This book isn‘t on Litsy yet so I tagged a book with a similar title).
I‘m using the NIV Archaeological Bible for the #BibleBuddyRead and came across this helpful appendix referencing Jacob‘s sons.
Where are my antiquarian bibliophiles at? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️ I just love this beautiful sticker book. 😍

? “”You‘re planning to write a novel but you don‘t read them?” “How hard can it be?” Wickaam said. “We all jot down words. Just a matter of finding time.” “Since we all have a brain, I plan to perform brain surgery as soon as I have a spare moment.”” ?

Beautifully crafted story that weaves in historical elements of the aftermath of slavery with fictional characters you can‘t help but cheer for. The storyline bounces between two timelines (1870s & 1980s) and despite the decades of separation, the characters are strongly connected. I love how the ads that inspired this book gave voices to African Americans — in an era where they had none. Thanks to those ads, their voices are still heard today.
