My son picked this one out, but it‘s a bit long for him. We‘ll be reading it over two nights. A bittersweet beginning to this book. Deals a little with death of a loved one. Mostly about transitions in life. Something I‘m not sure my son can remember since we‘ve finally stayed in the same place for two years. (He has trouble with long term memory.) Would be a good book to read if a child is moving to a new place.

Was looking through my stats yesterday trying to convince my cousin to get Storygraph and I forgot how much I liked looking at all the little graphs. #Storygraph

PuddleJumper I enjoy Plus just because of the extra stats 2w

8 books in May! Can you tell I‘m between jobs? 😂

I‘m also halfway through Audition for #CampLitsy2025. Finding it a little tough going as I dislike the main character. I‘ll probably push through to finish it this week and start on something queer for Pride month.

BkClubCare Oh, please do finish Audition because I am betting the discussion to be wild! 1w
Kitta @BkClubCare oh Im going to finish it! I‘m just debating finishing before the first discussion or holding off and reading the second half next week! 1w
BkClubCare @Kitta - well . . . I would wait then. I had to return to the library. 1w
Kitta @BkClubCare I have two weeks left on Libby fingers crossed I can read it before returning, it if I start again Sunday lol. I read pretty quick! Should be doable even if I‘m not enjoying it hahah 1w

I‘m definitely in a bit of a reading hangover after finally finishing the Ruthless Desires series. I feel like I‘m getting back in the swing of things now, though.

Really good books this month!

Favourite is the tagged. I‘m trying to read more LGBTQIA books as well as books by non-cis white male authors.

I only read 28 books in April. In all fairness, I got lost in Stardew Valley. It‘s a great game to play while listening to audiobooks, but I‘m so into the game that when the book ends I just keep playing. Go figure.

emz711 That's incredible! What speed do you read on? 1mo
GingerAntics @emz711 it depends on the book, but usually 2x. Sometimes a narrator is a slower speaker or the subject is boring, so I bump it up. The max my reading app goes to is 3x. Without headphones it sounds like gibberish, but somehow with headphones it‘s all perfectly clear. 1mo
rabbitprincess Haha yes I am constantly going “oh just one more day” when I play Stardew 😂 1mo
GingerAntics @rabbitprincess I‘m so glad I‘m not the only one! 1mo

Does anyone know how to get StoryGraph to graph books by year of publication without entering that as a tag? The date is part of the information they show about each book so it seems like there ought to be a way, but I‘m not finding instructions anywhere. Thanks. #storygraph

Sace Go to reading stats. Pick “all time” scroll down. Keep scrolling. A little more. There! There should be a graph by year. 1mo

This was a wild month. I read more books than there were days in the month (just). I read A LOT of good books, but also a fair share of meh books. Talk about an adventure.
