#Readinggoals2023

Hmmm, will I stick to the self-imposed book buying ban? 🤔 🤷‍♀️ I only stand a chance if this is for actual physical books. Kindle deals don't count, right? 😅

2022 has been the 1st year I've committed to keeping a book journal. I always thought it would be a waste of valuable reading time. I couldn't have been more wrong. Just had my most productive reading year.

AllDebooks This is why I'm not setting any number goals this year and go with the flow. It's important to not lose sight of what you gain from reading. So if you read 1 book or 500 this year, well done & happy reading x https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/dec/31/new-years-resolution-more-... 1y

Team #BFC2022 - time to post May updates + June goals!

I'm not sure what happened to May. I turned around & May was done. I completely derailed on all my goals + had the worst reading month I've had since the start of covid. So I'm doing a reset. My June goals:

* Read 4 physical books
* exercise 30 min/day every day
* log food daily
* cut back on sugar
* meditate daily

#BFC2022 @wanderinglynn

May was sporadic at best... dismal at worst, lol.

Keeping the same goals for June:
1. Read Noom lesson daily
2. Daily Food Journal
3. Read Daily Devotional
4. Walk 3 times per week

wanderinglynn May was dismal. 😉 And do we‘re resetting for June! Great goals 🙌🏻 2y
julieclair Yes! Reset! 👍 2y

bthegood I'm in - thanks for hosting - 2y
Sresendez12 Great goals! I‘m also trying to limit my intake of added sugars (outside of my wedding anniversary and birthday 😀) 2y
BarkingMadRead I met my exercise goals for May, but I was 2 books short of my reading goal. That‘s what I get from raising it from 10 to 15 🤣 2y
BarkingMadRead June goal is 545 cycling miles, for a challenge I‘m doing, plus read 8 books. I‘ll be on the bike so much, my reading is sure to suffer 🤣🤣 2y
Allylu I read 14 books in May! Yay! My reading goal for June will remain at 10 books, but I hope to surpass it. I‘m stabilizing my eating to stay close to 145 lbs. it‘s definitely a learning process. I‘m still staying away from sweets. The craving is not there anymore. I am enjoying blueberries and strawberries though! Being accountable makes all the difference. 😊💕📚 2y
Lynnsoprano I‘m definitely in need of a reset, especially after being derailed by Covid in May. I did meet my Apple Watch monthly challenge, which I‘m happy about, and read 5 books. For June, goals are to meet the June Watch challenge, and read another 5 books. Big goal for the month is to last at least as long as last time on the treadmill during next week‘s stress test 🤞 2y
wanderinglynn @Sresendez12 thanks! 🙌🏻 2y
wanderinglynn @BarkingMadRun I‘m going to reframe your first statement to say that you made your reading goal (10) and made a stretch goal of 13. 🙌🏻 Doesn‘t that sound better than didn‘t make goal? Because the important thing is that you did read. And great goals for June! 🙌🏻 2y
wanderinglynn @Allylu 🎉🙌🏻 Way to go! Keep up the great work! 2y
wanderinglynn @Lynnsoprano yay for resetting! 🙌🏻 And you did great in May if you read + made your Apple Watch monthly challenge – way to go! Great goals for June! 🎉🙌🏻 2y
BarkingMadRead @wanderinglynn so much better! 2y
zezeki I love this, I could use a goal reset too! 2y
Bookwormjillk I need a reset too. I got sick and couldn‘t read for a week. And now I am adjusting to my kids‘ summer schedules. I‘ll post new goals soon. 2y
wanderinglynn @zezeki let‘s do it! 🙌🏻 it‘s never to late. 2y
wanderinglynn @Bookwormjillk glad you‘re feeling better. 2y
Bookgoil Oh gosh it‘s June!!! 🤣 wellll I better reflect and make achievable goals 2y
britt_brooke Thank you for continuing to tag me! I‘ve fallen off posting, but I‘ve been hanging in there; reading a lot and working out regularly. I feel like I can do better, but I can also be nicer to myself. I‘m still trying. 😊 (edited) 2y
wanderinglynn @britt_brooke 🙌🏻 Awesome. Keep making good progress, and the important this is that you keep trying! And definitely be nice to yourself. 💜 2y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick May went off the rails for me! 🤣 Working on my goals because I think I need a reset, too. 2y
mcipher Wow yeah I definitely went off the rails…. Keeping my goal for a little yoga/movement every day. I need to continue to plow through library books - I did really well and then got a bunch of ARCs and went on vacation. I have GOT to get better about veggies (debating how…) and I need to figure out how to keep my walking momentum up once we‘re back home (maybe a step challenge with someone?!) 2y
MatchlessMarie Yeahhh I think my reading goal is the only one I actually met this month. Sometimes the reading goals and fitness goals alternate on actually being achieved 😂 2y
wanderinglynn @mcipher I‘m doing weekly check-ins this month. If you want, I can tag you on those posts and you can check-in with your step count. 2y
wanderinglynn @MatchlessMarie yes, that‘s very true! 😆 2y
mcipher @wanderinglynn I‘d love that - thank you!!! 2y
BethM Ph tag me too! 2y
wanderinglynn @BethM will do! 🙌🏻 2y
katy4peas I haven‘t been on Litsy for a while so a reset is definitely good! 1. Finish my current book 2. Make it to my barre class 1x next week 2y
wanderinglynn @katy4peas 🙌🏻 you got this! 2y

1) Prioritize menu planning, pay off 75% of our debt with intent of being debt free by 2019, travel to Greece and Croatia, read more outside my comfort zone! 2) Atlas Shrugged and Caraval 3) after grinding through grad school reading, I lost my enthusiasm for reading. I am newly inspired to jump back in. 4) #mybloodyvalentineswap, blanket and a book, and recipe and a book swaps + the classics A-Z challenge. 5) books! And my kindle! Warm socks
