This is my stack of all the books I read in June (except The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer which I read as an ebook). I‘ve really enjoyed reading more than usual this month and I‘m glad I read so many great books.

I especially enjoyed The Book of Form and Emptiness, and the getting to meet Ruth Ozeki at the Women‘s Prize event. I‘ve got a couple more books to read from the Women‘s Prize shortlist to kick off my July reading.

I am crushing my #bfc2022 goals for this month 💪

This morning I tried climbing for the first time ever so that is my fitness goal achieved ✅

I‘m on track with reading goals and have read 2/4 books.

I did not enjoy this book. It contained a lot of fatphobic comments and not a lot of romance. In terms of the comedy I could tell parts were meant to be funny, but I mostly found them annoying. A very disappointing rom com.

My #BFC2022 update. I read all the Heartstopper books and I enjoyed them a lot. I‘m looking forward to reading the new update which is released tomorrow.

I did not manage to go to the gym every week, partially because I just didn‘t go, partially because I had to isolate with Covid.

My goals for next month are:
📚 Read 4 books
🏃‍♀️ Try climbing

@wanderinglynn

wanderinglynn Yes, covid has made some things difficult. Great goals for April! 🙌🏻 2y

Belated #BFC2022 Update

In February I managed my reading goal and read a couple of physical books from the library. However I didn‘t manage to go to gym every week because I was ill for the last couple of weeks (hence why this update is late!)

My March goals are
📚 Read the Heartstopper Series
🏃‍♀️ Do my PT routine at least once a week (so far, so good!)

wanderinglynn I hope you‘re feeling better! Great goals! 🙌🏻 2y

I thought I wasn‘t going to meet my #bfc2022 goals because I wasn‘t able to schedule my gym induction until the very end of the month. But I did it!

In January I…
📚 read The Ex-Husband, which was a thriller not my usual romance
🏃‍♀️ joined the gym and restarted running (I‘m 2 runs in)

In February I will
📚Read a physical book borrowed from the library
🏃‍♀️ Go to the gym at least once a week

wanderinglynn Yay! Way to go! 🙌🏻💜 And keep up the great progress! 2y

Today I got stuck somewhere for two hours with no phone battery and nothing to do. So I ran to Tescos and bought the most interesting looking book from their meagre selection.
So far I kind of hate the main character. Like really hate her. But I paid for this book and I‘m determined to read it.

It really struggled to get going with this book. I honestly thought the falling in love arc was kinda dull and dragged on. However, there was much more interesting plot in the second half of the book so it definitely picked up towards the end.

Reading this book is like reading fan fiction that happens to be published in paperback. It‘s trope-y and fun. An easy read.

Had an amazing day out with @Emilymdxn 🥰

I had a chance to finish The Long Way on the train back home. I found the first 200 pages a bit slow going but finished the second half much more quickly. Pretty good book but I‘m not sure if I will finish the series.

Emily also gave me The Love Hypothesis ❤️ and I‘m debating whether to read that or Red, White & Royal Blue next.

I recently handed in a complete draft of my doctorate (minus introduction & conclusion, which I‘m writing last) so I‘ve been on my winter break since then. I‘m using this time to read more fiction including this which was a birthday gift from @Emilymdxn !

Oryx Great accomplishment! Well done 😄 2y

A fun read. It went a bit off the rails towards the end getting a bit too unrealistic and outrageous but otherwise very fun. It was probably a bit too much to ask a rom com about an American socialite with zero experience becoming an apprentice sword maker to be realistic. Thanks for the birthday read @Emilymdxn
