The Ravenous Dead | Darcy Coates

Pickpick

I liked book 2 of the Gravekeeper series better. Overall it's just a more cohesive story. I also liked the bigger role that the graveyard ghosts play in this one. Also enjoyed the addition of a ghost gone evil or the shade. The shady men chasing Kiera were briefly mentioned again this book but no answers yet. I've got to know who they are and who Kiera really is.

Mehso-so

I've been going back and forth on my thoughts and what I'd rate The Whispering Dead. I'm going to say middle of the road read. I thought it was going to be kind of scary but it wasn't. It does involve ghosts in the graveyard and a MC that has amnesia. I wish a couple of things brought up were explained more in the book. It almost felt like the first 1/4 was a different book then the rest of it. Of course now I'll have to continue the series

I have been looking forward to reading the newest spinoff series from The Vampire Knitting Club by Nancy Warren. I've loved all of her books. This new series follows Lucy's friend Jennifer as she starts a knitting shop at a new location. There are some old friends and new characters. I have to admit though this one didn't quite draw me in yet as much as other books by author. It was a nice relaxing read though.

I'm really loving the Library Witch Mystery series by Elle Adams lately. It follows Rory as her whole life changes when vampires show up to take her dad's journal after his death. She learns that she has some interesting witchy aunts that own a magical library in a magical town. If you liked the Vampire Knitting Club by Nancy Warren I recommend giving this series a try. Also if you are into audiobooks these are read by Hollis McCarthy.

Cazxxx I‘ve read the first two books in this series and liked them. I absolutely LOVE the vampire knitting club, I hope she writes some more! 3w

I couldn't tag the actual book since it wasn't in the database. I enjoyed book 2 of the Midlife Medicine paranormal cozy mystery series by Amorette Anderson. Admittedly I've picked it up and restarted several times but finally got into it this week. My favorite part is that her companion is a pitbull named Lucky who she can speak to psychically since moving to the magical town of Covenstead. So this quote from the dog made me laugh.

I loved the 2nd book of the Spice Isle Bakery Mystery series just as much as the 1st. I love the family dynamic and all of their customers. Though my favorite is the grandma. She just sits up front crocheting and gossiping with her customers. The Murray family is once again faced with another murder too close to home. This time though it's the mom the community is suspicious of. I love that the family pulls together to figure it out

Such a sweet story! I loved the family of women that it follows. The sisters and their cousin are the 4th generation to own the best Doughnut Shop in their small town Devine, Texas. The story shows just how strong love between family and those you choose to become family can be.

I'm not really into keeping physical books after I read them anymore. I don't really reread so I'd rather it find a new home to be enjoyed. Unless it was a gift, special or something I will reference back to. So my dream library would be full of very comfy spots to read with plenty of cozy blankets and pillows. Also a stash of snacks/drink. Speakers that I could listen to an audiobook.

Has anyone read any books by Sierra Dean? I randomly stumbled upon Bayou Blues book 1 of the Genie McQueen series. I enjoyed it but then realized the Secret McQueen series comes first. I didn't quite like it as much as Genie's yet but I'm hoping the 2nd book gets better.

Yall. I've been listening to The Luminous Dead lately. I thought parts of the story kept sounding like a repeat and that was odd. Though I assumed maybe it was to add to the creepy kind of chaotic vibe. Nope I realized that somehow the same section was repeating. I don't even want to admit how long that took me to figure out 🤣 I guess that's my sign to put the book down and sleep
