We‘ve headed into the mountains today, and even climbed Ben Nevis. #VirtualTour

How‘s the start to your weekend been? I spent a large part of the day watching Phantom of the Ooera, thanks @Ms_T What a true delight!

CocoReads 30 minutes of work left. Yesterday‘s snow is gone and I defied the parking order and parked down by the river-it‘s a skeleton crew today so I figured I could take advantage of that. 😁 I‘m a rebel! 4y
DieAReader Sluggish today thanks to a very long & frustrating night with very little actual 😴. Thankfully getting some reading done. Still hoping to meet my book goal for #BFChabit #28dayBFC @wanderinglynn 🤞🏻I‘m at 4/5 books but I‘m chomping through a few different open books in hopes of reaching goal by midnight! JacqMac We spent all morning watching The Phantom, too. It was amazing! Not a bad day today. I went for groceries yesterday. It‘s such an eerie experience and it really turns up my anxiety. So today is a recovery day. Trying to mostly avoid the internet and do some reading. 4y

tracey38 After waking up at 6am with a monster migraine, I finally got it to die down a bit by 10am where I could get up and shower and felt half human! I still have that lingering headache but I can eat and be up and do some reading. Yesterday was just a lost cause. Beautiful mountain pictures of Scotland! 4y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Today is a decent day. My bf had to go into work for a few hours this morning so I was up early, too. A little reading & yoga, a walk with the dog, Zoom call with friends, and now a little work so I'm not rushing to finish on Monday. The Scottish mountains look beautiful today! 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Hey Andrew, recently I saw a photo from Scotland with 2 horse heads in a silver sculpture, I think it was Scotland. Do you know anything about that sculpture? It was so cool. I‘ve been extremely lazy today and I‘m a little freaked out by NY‘s COVID19 numbers bc most of my family and friends live there. I‘ve been trying to combat the blues with creative journaling. It helps. And reading, of course, helps. Hope you are doing well! (edited) 4y

Andrew65 @JanuarieTimewalker13 I presume you mean the kelpies, think I drove past them on one occasion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kelpies Statistics also not good to UK, ranging between 700 - 900 people dying daily and around 4000 - 5000 cases and these are only the hospital deaths. 😢 Worst in London here where most of my family live so can understand fully. Reading is my escapism from it all! Better today than yesterday where had trouble kicking 4y

It was fantastic, the guy who played Chris Tarrant was unbelievable, I thought I was watching Chris himself! I think I heard somewhere that the actor is Michael Sheen... Anyway, that was my days enjoyment, hehehe 😊 4y

DieAReader @JacqMac I‘ve been avoiding the grocery store for almost 4 weeks. Meant to go last week, but...maybe Monday. I did buy a couple things Monday but I only went to Giant Tiger so it wasn‘t bad. Rest up & re-center yourself. Much love! 📚🥰 4y
mom2bugnbee Not gonna lie, today was rough. My older daughter is a high school senior & tonight was supposed to be prom. She's in her room as we speak, in her gown, in a Zoom call with several of her classmates. It's bittersweet, & I had a good cry. Reading is keeping me sane! 4y

And I know, this is hard and scary and if you‘re in an area with large numbers, it‘s frightening, but what we must keep in mind is that they also have large populations. I think they should really talk about per capita rates, you know? If there‘s a small town with 10 cases, it‘s probably equivalent to a city with 10,000 cases. I‘m trying to keep perspective. 4y
IamIamIam I missed your post because we watched Phantom yesterday too!!! I've seen it on Broadway but it was wonderful to see the inside of the Royal Albert Hall!! Gorgeous! Speaking of gorgeous... more lovely coastlines! I'm missing the ocean being stuck inside. I think next week we're going to have to take a field trip to the beach. 💓 4y

DieAReader @Velvetfur especially when we both toss & turn often writhing in physical pain. I‘ve gone through many situations (physical/mental/emotional) where I‘ve spent several weeks sleeping in the couch. In our newest & current apartment we have 3 bedrooms & being as it‘s just Kev & I with no children (current or future) we opted to each have our own individual personal space. His is a home office set up whereas mine is a reading room. It‘s perfect! 📚🎶 4y
DieAReader @Andrew65 I definitely feel for all HS graduates that are missing out on the fanfare of prom. My niece was just getting kind of excited about it. Went dress shopping with her dad & found one too. That was mid February. Now there‘s no prom. 🤦🏻‍♀️Highly unlikely anything organized online either. Makes me sad for her, all of them😭 4y

Clwojick I just finished making a list of activities/chores etc that I can do for 1 hour at a time to help limit the boredom. I figure if I set an alarm to go off every hour and change up the tasks, I‘ll be more productive, limit the boredom and spend less time on YouTube lol. I just added “clean out craft closet” so I‘m sure my library will look like this too 😂 4y

DieAReader Thanks @Andrew65 @GHABI4ROSES 😴 & I have major issues to say the least lol! I haven‘t gotten a full night of decent sleep since sometime in the fall of 2018. With & without meds & routine. Doing what I can to not slip into either bad sleeping habits (naps mainly) or mania. It‘s a tightrope for sure 😣 4y

GHABI4ROSES YES on @Clwojick idea, and @SquidgetsRoom naps can totally work, I take 1-2 a day (total infant), cus I do not sleep for a long time at night. I like to be up by 3am for my quiet hours, and I sleep fitfully until I see that my big kids are at their respective homes for the night. Sleep when you want to sleep, power the rest of the time. 4y

BookishMe Hope you managed to rest properly to recharge for the next course of action... Whenever I feel such exhaustion, I accept the ebb and wait for it to dispel itself 💞💞 4y
Clwojick @BookishMe my best friend has ADHD, and she finds that setting a 15 minute timer and completing small tasks while cleaning the house helps her be more productive. 15 mins of this, 15 mins of that. Bouncing around until everything is done.That way she‘ll stay in her designated area until the timer goes off and not get distracted by something and leave the project incomplete for something unrelated 4y
BookishMe @Clwojick similar to the Pomodoro Technique right but shorter interval? Glad that it works for her. I have learnt watching time can be counter-productive for me (unless rushing to deadline ;o) each day I aim to complete 2 / 3 tasks, nothing ambitious. Very doable tasks or part of a bigger project. Running the tasks mentally, in order throughout the day, acts like a preset & programs me into a course of action. I do enough > total productivity ;)) 4y
DieAReader I also have ADHD @Clwojick so an hour is long (depending on what I‘m doing). I do the 15 bounce around too lol. My husband & I nicknamed what I do as “squirrelling” 🐿🤣 I‘m very proficient in it lmfao! Your BFF likely is too 😉 4y

#BFC28 #28DayBFC #BFCHabit Check-in! 1. I read 9.25 hours - still reaching for that 10. 2. Finished another book 2/5 3. Walked 44,934 steps Yay! Walks: 14/30 days. 4. A bonus - lost 4 lbs. as of Thursday! 5. Made 21 face masks + 11 in progress - sewing every day.

Andrew65 Coronavirus has affected, especially daily walks, as well as the children extra work I have to do. Need to pick up the exercise element. Also should have read 14 books but only read 11. Was due to be off work next two weeks but fully at work next week now so could effect outcome but still trying to get there. @wanderinglynn (edited) 4y

AsYouWish I haven‘t had much motivation to read lately, which isn‘t great since I am in 11 reading groups, so I am hoping to get some reading in soon. I started using my Harry Potter Wizards Unite app again so that is helping me to move more. I am doing NaNoWriMo so that is helping me to do something for me and relax. I have been talking to some of my students on our class discussion board so that is helping my mood a bit too!! 4y

sheshedbooks I've managed to be coffee-free on Tuesday & Thursday. 🙌 Total #nocoffee days: 3. I've also managed to finish one out of five arcs goal. 4y

Cupcake12 To be honest...Ive found it difficult to stay away from a cuppa as it‘s my comfort drink. I‘ve had a herbal/fruit tea about 3 times this week. The statistics in the UK have not been good and now going into our 3rd week of lockdown. I‘ve managed to read everyday which is something I proud of and I look forward to emailing my buddy who I met through Litsy ❤️ 4y

rockpools Yay for meditation every day! 🙌🏻! I‘ve done 3/7 workouts BUT I‘ve discovered Karen Hauer (from Strictly‘s) YouTube workouts which are fun and upbeat and at my level. I‘ve also just started a Reframing Anxiety self-guided course, which involves lots of reflection and journaling. Too early to know how effective it is (forever the skeptic. Part of me thinks it‘s dodgy Internet gubbins 😬) but it‘s making me think differently about stuff. We‘ll see. 4y
Exbrarian Doing great, but not reading as much as I had planned. Walking everyday, cooking fresh food / eating healthy everyday. A little weight loss for good measure. Finished one challenging jigsaw and about to start another. 4y
julesG Did workouts; my physiotherapist said my abs are slowly showing. Still struggling with positivity. Have not killed the kids yet. Sick and tired of saying no to "Can we watch 'Chucky'?" though. I might just give in tonight after I set up the Li-lo in my bedroom (I might get a few dolls out of the storage box for the right atmosphere too). ? 4y
sheshedbooks @wanderinglynn Thanks! I can't do a streak yet. Tried a coffee-free Wednesday (and Friday) but I felt less of my self (headaches and irritability). So, I'll just stick to no-coffee Tues and Thurs for now and a daily limit of one cup for other days. 4y

EadieB I forgot what my exact goal was but I think I said I was going to move and get rid of some of my books and read about 20 of them in a month‘s time. I have swapped 300 books since January and I have read 7 books in the past 2 weeks. 4y
ChasingOm Great job meditating! I successfully *medicated* every day this week! 😂 I‘m also wrapping up a few books that I‘ve been reading for months as I‘ve been building a yoga series based on the chakras. (I‘ve taken my weekly class online! 😬) 4y

Crazeedi My stop smoking goal has not been achieved 🙄, but I have posted reviews on net Galley, goodreads and here on the books I've read, so there's that. I am getting my seeds organized to get started in their pots before putting in garden. I picked some hyacinths and daffodils from my yard to cheer me up! 4y

DieAReader My original goal for #BFChabit was 5 books (any format)& incorporating meditation into daily practice. I have read 3 books so far & Jm working in a couple others as well. Meditation has not been tackled yet, however I have been working on establishing a daily routine. I‘m cooking/making meals more often, spending time enjoying the outdoors (in front porch 🤣) or in the back yard. Little things that will help improve my overall mental health 📚🎶 4y

Jennifer3 I am meditating every other day and I found a sleep one that helped me to actually get some sleep after weeks of insomnia. I finished one book and started another—-I hope to finish one more that I had started. 4y

Karisa I wrote in my journal 4 out of the last 7 days. I did yoga 3 times and meditated 4 days. My reading is slowing a bit--hard to focus lately. I finished 1 book and have 2 in progress this week. Just keep swimming, everyone!😊 4y

Bookwormjillk Great job @wanderinglynn I‘ve done pretty well with my water goal, and my one audiobook a week while active goal. My step count has been fairly low though. It‘s just hard not having the built in steps from my commute. 4y

Meaw_catlady I did 5 days out of 7 of my daily yoga practice. I didn‘t walk once this week and I haven‘t finished any books. I feel like I‘m finally losing steam emotionally. But I know I have support and we can get through this together. 4y

This week has been fairly successful as far as #BFC28 #28DayBFC #BFChabit goes. I finished 1 book and read 9.86 hours I was going for 10, but I‘ve been busy as you can see above. I managed 46,688 steps (over my goal of 40K). My husband and I are walking every day. Hope you are all staying healthy. 💕📚😊

EadieB @Cinfhen No It‘s one of his first books written early in his career as a writer. We started at the bottom of his list of novels and worked through them and are almost finished and into the earlier ones. 4y

wanderinglynn It‘s Book Fitness Challenge. The original BFC was 6 weeks long and focused on a fitness goal (because I was training for a 5K). It‘s morphed since then, so I just use BFC now. 😉 4y
