Team #BFC28 - can you believe we‘re at the halfway point?!

I‘ve meditated every day. And I downloaded a bunch of guided meditation apps to try.

I haven‘t written every day. But I have written more days than not. And I‘ve posted 3 new blog posts this week. That makes a total of 7 since this started. 🎉

AsYouWish I haven‘t had much motivation to read lately, which isn‘t great since I am in 11 reading groups, so I am hoping to get some reading in soon. I started using my Harry Potter Wizards Unite app again so that is helping me to move more. I am doing NaNoWriMo so that is helping me to do something for me and relax. I have been talking to some of my students on our class discussion board so that is helping my mood a bit too!! 4y

AprilMae Success: keeping up with my grateful lists (I need to start posting again on here!) Struggle: reading! Too much anxious energy to sit down and read right now.... 4y
cobwebmoth I've been writing in my journal more days than not, but I just have no desire to read right now, or do much else. 4y
UnRuLee The only day of meditation I‘ve missed was yesterday because I was having a really rough chronic pain flare-up. But I got back on track today even though I‘m still pretty under the weather, so I‘m proud of that! I may even try to get in a second session this evening so I‘m caught up. 4y
sheshedbooks I've managed to be coffee-free on Tuesday & Thursday. 🙌 Total #nocoffee days: 3. I've also managed to finish one out of five arcs goal. 4y
wanderinglynn @AprilMae great job on your grateful list. As for reading, many of us are struggling there. 💜 I‘ve been rereading an old fave, which has helped. 4y
Lesanne I have exercised 4 out of the last 6 days, which I‘m pretty happy with. I‘ve signed up for supplemental shifts at work for the next week, though, so I might struggle a bit! (edited) 4y
Cupcake12 To be honest...Ive found it difficult to stay away from a cuppa as it‘s my comfort drink. I‘ve had a herbal/fruit tea about 3 times this week. The statistics in the UK have not been good and now going into our 3rd week of lockdown. I‘ve managed to read everyday which is something I proud of and I look forward to emailing my buddy who I met through Litsy ❤️ 4y

wanderinglynn @Lesanne awesome job this week 🙌🏻 As for next week, one ideas you might try is to break up your workout into 10 or 15-minute chunks and try to sneak one in between shifts. 4y

wanderinglynn @Cupcake12 okay, so maybe now‘s not the best time to wean yourself off your comfort drink. We are all under a lot of stress and uncertainty. Maybe reevaluate the reasons behind setting that goal and adapt it to something else. And great job on the daily reading! 🙌🏻 4y

rockpools Yay for meditation every day! 🙌🏻! I‘ve done 3/7 workouts BUT I‘ve discovered Karen Hauer (from Strictly‘s) YouTube workouts which are fun and upbeat and at my level. I‘ve also just started a Reframing Anxiety self-guided course, which involves lots of reflection and journaling. Too early to know how effective it is (forever the skeptic. Part of me thinks it‘s dodgy Internet gubbins 😬) but it‘s making me think differently about stuff. We‘ll see. 4y
Exbrarian Doing great, but not reading as much as I had planned. Walking everyday, cooking fresh food / eating healthy everyday. A little weight loss for good measure. Finished one challenging jigsaw and about to start another. 4y
julesG Did workouts; my physiotherapist said my abs are slowly showing. Still struggling with positivity. Have not killed the kids yet. Sick and tired of saying no to "Can we watch 'Chucky'?" though. I might just give in tonight after I set up the Li-lo in my bedroom (I might get a few dolls out of the storage box for the right atmosphere too). ? 4y
sheshedbooks @wanderinglynn Thanks! I can't do a streak yet. Tried a coffee-free Wednesday (and Friday) but I felt less of my self (headaches and irritability). So, I'll just stick to no-coffee Tues and Thurs for now and a daily limit of one cup for other days. 4y

EadieB I forgot what my exact goal was but I think I said I was going to move and get rid of some of my books and read about 20 of them in a month‘s time. I have swapped 300 books since January and I have read 7 books in the past 2 weeks. 4y
ChasingOm Great job meditating! I successfully *medicated* every day this week! 😂 I‘m also wrapping up a few books that I‘ve been reading for months as I‘ve been building a yoga series based on the chakras. (I‘ve taken my weekly class online! 😬) 4y

KathyWheeler Good for you, @wanderinglynn ! I‘ve struggled a little with it but have managed to meditate 3 days this week. I went out and walked everyday this week except for one. 4y

Hufflepuffle I did yoga 5 days out of 7! Better than last week but would like to do better still next week. Had a couple of days where I just had no energy. Bring on next week! 4y

Crazeedi My stop smoking goal has not been achieved 🙄, but I have posted reviews on net Galley, goodreads and here on the books I've read, so there's that. I am getting my seeds organized to get started in their pots before putting in garden. I picked some hyacinths and daffodils from my yard to cheer me up! 4y

DieAReader My original goal for #BFChabit was 5 books (any format)& incorporating meditation into daily practice. I have read 3 books so far & Jm working in a couple others as well. Meditation has not been tackled yet, however I have been working on establishing a daily routine. I‘m cooking/making meals more often, spending time enjoying the outdoors (in front porch 🤣) or in the back yard. Little things that will help improve my overall mental health 📚🎶 4y

DieAReader When I can lol 🤣 Struggling right now with a few things & focus & motivation are very difficult to obtain & maintain. Day by bay & minute by minute is all I can do. Easily distracted & scatter brained 🤦🏻‍♀️🧠 4y

Jennifer3 I am meditating every other day and I found a sleep one that helped me to actually get some sleep after weeks of insomnia. I finished one book and started another—-I hope to finish one more that I had started. 4y

Karisa I wrote in my journal 4 out of the last 7 days. I did yoga 3 times and meditated 4 days. My reading is slowing a bit--hard to focus lately. I finished 1 book and have 2 in progress this week. Just keep swimming, everyone!😊 4y

Bookwormjillk Great job @wanderinglynn I‘ve done pretty well with my water goal, and my one audiobook a week while active goal. My step count has been fairly low though. It‘s just hard not having the built in steps from my commute. 4y

Meaw_catlady I did 5 days out of 7 of my daily yoga practice. I didn‘t walk once this week and I haven‘t finished any books. I feel like I‘m finally losing steam emotionally. But I know I have support and we can get through this together. 4y
