The smell of baking pumpkin pie 🥧 is definitely something I associate with the holidays. It‘s the only time of year I enjoy that particular pastry.

Thanks for the tag Sherri! I think my future self will be proud I took the job I did after being affected by a very unexpected and distressing mass layoff from my previous company. My current role is challenging, in a completely different industry, and has a demanding learning curve, but I‘m making great progress and honestly it‘s a fantastic opportunity! I‘m glad I didn‘t let fear talk me out of it.

I don't have to wait for my future self. My present self is proud of me for overcoming my introvertedness and social anxiety to work with folks on community action and mutual aid in my community.

I started a new exercise routine that has helped stop the ache in my knees. And as much as I hate exercising, I do like mobility so I've stuck with it 😊

Two main things that feel related to me but might not seem so from outside: I'm facing my fears of putting myself out there creatively, through acting, writing, and musical performance, and I've leaned into vulnerability in relationships by recommitting to connection through respectful disagreement. I don't always hit the mark on either of these, but future me will, I think, be proud of my earnest attempts.

Going back to school to get my masters has been huge for me and I am confident my future self would be proud of me for taking the plunge and going for what I want in life!
