My New Glasses: Learning the GL Sound | Dina Santos

I'm going to try to get caught up on reviews today. 🤞But, in the meantime, these are my new glasses! They're from Pair Eyewear and this bookshelf pattern attaches magnetically. I can change out the design based on mood, color, etc.

#nonbookrelated I am usually the LAST person on earth to post a selfie, I can't produce a smile that doesn't look fake, but I wanted to show my new glasses. My old pair broke during the pandemic, so I've been half blind for months. Didn't affect my reading, thankfully, because I'm nearsighted. Best part, they were a Christmas gift from Office Depot, so I didn't have to pay for the doctor's appt. or the glasses themselves.

ljuliel You‘ll get the hang of them. I remember when I first got glasses, it was hard to even walk with them on, because the floor looked closer than it was. The neighbors probably thought I was drunk , out stumbling all over the yard. 5y

Kaye Doggone, we have some Beauty Queens in Litsy. Makes me wanna go get a face lift, tummy tuck, new wardrobe, work out for about 7000 hours, buy some makeup and figure out what to do with it , dye my hair , and show a little bit more SKIN. My new everyday glasses 👓 I have to go and get these ones adjusted, the hubby picked them up for me coz after shopping for two days straight, I can barely walk (also why I haven't posted till now😔) They're actually deep purple with jeweled purple flowers on the arms. Finally!!! Got them today so am still struggling with breaking them in. They are helping with the blurriness but I'm still having focusing issues and those Giant ass floaters are still there😡 But any improvement is a win & I love the frames, they're very lightweight. These are my readers, I have another pair for everyday use. They asked me if I wanted the lighter pair for everyday, I told them I read mostly everyday!🤓

Ok I must REALLY LIKE you guys cuz I NEVER post pics of myself. Here I am modeling my new glasses with a sinus pack on my head because I am still so hot I feel like my brain is melting. They are bifocals so I am still getting used to them but I can read a lot better. I don't like my cats on my pillow but Taz is right beside me. We had a mild winter here in Chicago and I should have known it would add up to a hot summer! Oh well ❤️❤️❤️❤️you guys!!!

I'm in a high crime area of Chicago and things get worse when the weather is hot- bad for introverts like me who only go to the library. I also like to hide in jackets and non-revealing clothing. Hot weather is not so good for that either, lol 🤷🏽‍♀️ 8y

saresmoore Oh my goodness, I relate so much! Except that I'm in South Florida and it's always hot and the crime is always at an extreme... Someday, I'll live in a place with scarf & coat weather. For now, I turn on the house alarm, draw the drapes, and hide in the A/C. 😬 8y

Mimi28 @saresmoore Thanks ❤️ At least you have a house alarm and A/C ❤️ Crime is pretty bad here all the time too but worse in the summer because people who have been hibernating all winter come out and get into trouble. I love my scarves and coats!! I also feel much safer in the winter because there are not as many people outside. I am generally just not a people person though, lol 8y
