TheAromaofBooks @bookandbedandtea - I totally get that!!! But it's a lot of fun when you get into it - a way to “chat“ with everyone by sharing your thoughts as you go long!! Sometimes people prefer to use sticky notes or to include a separate notebook for writing notes instead, which also works. 6mo

I like to think of it as just writing down all the parts I usually just say in my head (like, “Why is she doing that?????“) And when you get a book from someone else where they have already written something, you can add your thoughts and notes to theirs!! It's a fun time and I'm excited to read with both of you!! 6mo

TheAromaofBooks @Scochrane - I have had several over my car-owning career and there is something about driving stick that I just love. We've regretted selling our old six-speed Accord ever since it drove away! This one feels a lot different from the Japanese cars we've owned in the past, the clutch is much firmer and less forgiving, but it's still super fun to drive. But the manuals are definitely getting harder to find - we drove 2+ hrs to find this one! 2y

Even crappy cars like my old Toyota Tercel, that little 4-speed just made me feel like that car and I were working together in a way you don't get from an automatic haha Sorry your package went out so late!! But it should still get there in time as long as this wintry storm doesn't mess things up too much!! 2y

TheAromaofBooks @TheSpineView - I honestly don't understand those flappy paddle shifters! They seem like all the hassle of manual without the fun haha Those 350Zs are pretty snappy cars. It's crazy how many manual transmission options have been eliminated just in the last couple of years. As of 2022, only one version of the Challenger has a 6-speed option - I'm pretty sure only the Civic SI and not any regular Civics - apparently gearheads are fading out!! 2y

TheAromaofBooks @Gaylagal2 - We put in our first pond in 2015. Koi were expensive, but we read that goldfish would also do well in a garden pond setting so we bought 4 fish from the pet store & picked some pretty ones (orange, white, calico, etc). Those fish have thrived!! AND they've had babies! Between the two ponds we now have around a dozen fish, including two of the original 4 who are still going strong. We love watching them dart around the water. ⬇ 3y

TheAromaofBooks Apparently goldfish can live a really long time in ideal settings (i.e. a small pond with natural food sources) so hopefully ours keep going!! I haven't fed them since that first year - they just live off algae, plant roots, & insects in the pond. All the pond plants thrive because of the goldfish waste (aka fertilizer lol) & it's basically our own little circle of life out there! 😂 3y

Gaylagal2 @TheAromaofBooks I heard the same thing about goldfish! Some of the farmers here put goldfish in their drinking wells for the animals. They keep it clean and come winter, they stay on the bottom and survive...it's just a trip 🤓 3y

TheAromaofBooks @alexus_sb - Glad to have you back for your restart on Litsy!! The only challenge I personally host is #BookSpin. The idea for that one is to read a book (or a few) that you've already been meaning to read, so participants make a list of 20 books & then on the 2nd of the month I draw 2 numbers (BookSpin/DoubleSpin) & everyone tries to read those numbers from their lists. The bingo part is for people who want to read more than those 2 books from ⬇ 3y

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) their lists - I make a bingo card every month by drawing out all the numbers & randomly arranging them on a bingo card. Every time I participate in a swap, I say to myself I‘m going take a break and there, another interesting swap appears and I‘m too “fragile” to say no🤣 3y

TheAromaofBooks @LeahBergen - When you sign up you say where the best place is to choose books for you (Litsy TBR, Goodreads, whatever) & you can leave a note for your match saying that you want book(s) from that list & not just something random... I know that while I try to find books on my match's TBR that go with the theme, I'd rather buy them something from their TBR that I know they want than a random book they may not be interested in, if that makes sense 3y

Avanders I‘m sooooo sorry I never responded to this!! I thought I had and was going back to make sure I‘ve responded to posts in general and... 😟😟😟 Anyway, that all sounds perfect to me! If it‘s not too late, to answer your scents question, I don‘t hate anything ;) I looove themed scents (whatever they do, I‘m often a fan 😁), and I really like pine, lavender, gardenia, warm-homey scents, frosty winter scents... etc. 😘 I don‘t tend to love the 👇🏽 3y

#ElfSwap finally went out today!! That's my LAST SWAP TO SEND & if I ever sign up for this many swaps at a time again, tell me not to for the sake of simple logistics! 😂 But I've actually had loads of fun shopping & wrapping up goodies so there's that. Besides this one, the only one still floating around appears to by my #LLWS which I mailed 12/4 & has only just now made it to Columbus... 30 miles from here...

Forgot to post yesterday that I mailed my #LittleChristmasSwap !! I didn't take a picture, so here is the snow from the other day.

My short term memory is not working today- I forgot to register my car and it expired yesterday, I forgot to do an assignment that was due last week, and I‘m trying to find missing keys- plus I have a few thank you posts to make- and I guess grocery shopping cause food is important.... 🤪😝I will check in a bit. 3y
