Ok.. so I am pretty sad I finished reading this book. I loved the dark twists it had and how the women came out on top over an abusive and manipulative man. I loved how strong Nina was for putting up with it for the sake of her child and how at the end she didn‘t turn her back on Millie. Millie…. Oh man. I can‘t wait to read the next book!

Reading this was hard since I just recently lost my dad.. BUT it drew me in right from the get go and I think that loosing my dad was part of the reason why. I felt the grief and anger Sidney felt-although for different reasons. When it got to the secrets of June, it hit home as well because I‘ve been there and so many loved ones have been as well. #abuse #death #manipulation #gaslight #LGBTQ+ #teens #love #loss #friends #family

This took place right here in Missouri! So close to home! Enduring a brutal childhood, manipulation in relationships, & a wrongful murder accusation, she spent 36 years in prison. Despite losing her chance to be the mother she dreamed of, her own mother, & the life she deserved, Judy‘s resilience never faltered. Her triumphant outcome, though delayed, led to remarkable achievements. This book is a must read! Pictured Judy & daughter Angel!

Hey everyone! I have missed you all so much! I have been through the wringer lately and couldn‘t even tell you the last time I have read a full book. I have tried and tried, but my mind has been everywhere and I can‘t shut it off to just indulge. It‘s been long enough, and I am ready to jump back in! ❤️ tell me, what are you all reading?!
I was impressed. So many twists! I LOVED that this book had ties to his first book The Silent Patient. Brought so much more perspective to both of them having read both.
And so, when a man comes along & talks like ones own father & acts like him, even adults.. will submit to this man, will acclaim him, allow themselves to be manipulated by him & put their trust in him, finally surrendering entirely to him without even being aware of their enslavement. One is not normally aware of something that is a continuation of ones own childhood.

I went to an ADULT book fair (who knew that was a thing!) and got 19 books for $10 😊 I‘m so excited for the books I picked! I got some great true crime, history, sci fi, and some good non fiction. My tbr just doubled 😅 and I just ordered a new 2 new book last week 😳

The further I read, the more indulged I get.

Wow. Just started this book not long ago and I‘m flying through it! Even at work. So far I am LOVING it! Pretty much my cup of tea since it‘s Murder and mental illness. A.M has yet to disappoint me 🥰
I haven't been active in a few months. I got a promotion at my job and it has taken up so much of my time trying to train and deal with the new hours! But, it's all worth it since it comes with more money! (who doesn't like more money? 😁)
Anyways, I hope all you lovely people are doing amazing! I finally have time now to start reading again! 😍

Oh how I love me some Kristin Hannah 💕
I did receive some news the other day. My work is going to be taken over by new owners. They officially take over on the 18th. I hope that they run the place better than the current owner did. He‘s a 76 year old man who is definitely stuck in his old perverted ways 🤢 here‘s to a new start!
#reading #readingatwork #newowners #yay

I thought it was good but maybe a tad bit dragged out? I‘m not a big fan of super fantasy type books and this one was definitely a dream on paper lol
Wow strong notes of underage attraction and infidelity in this one. Totally not a fan. Surprisingly though, I finished it. With a knot in my stomach the entire time.
I just don‘t get the appeal of authors writing about underage sex like it is something to be proud of.
Sooooo much drinking, that every single one of them should go to an AA meeting.. and what was with all the lattes?! 🙄

Read for the day. Missouri weather can never make up its mind. All week it‘s been warm, yesterday was mid 60s, and this morning woke up and it‘s 30 degrees and has been snowing non stop 🤦♀️

Umm wow I wasn‘t expecting so many twists in this book! I loved every single second of this book right from the beginning.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yep, it was as good as the first one, if not better in parts! 😊

I oh so enjoyed letting my big nerdy side run wild with this one! Was a good read! Can‘t wait to watch the movie now 😬

YOU GUYS!!! This little chicken nugget is now a year old! 🥰 (he turned a year old last month on the 17th but I‘ve been so dang busy to get a picture and share with you all)
He now weighs 2.6 pounds! That‘s almost triple what he weighed when I got him at a month old.
The vet is super excited to see him tomorrow and as is he cause he gets all the lovings ❤️

Wow. Just.. wow. This book was so heartbreaking. The struggles all of those people went through. Love was what got them through it all.
Kristen Hannah easily became one of my favorite authors because of just how passionate she is in her writing. She definitely blew me away with this one.

I love me some Kristin Hannah because of how emotional her writing is, but I guess it‘s time to find out if IM emotionally stable enough right now to read this one

“They say that a persons personality is the sum of their experiences. But that isn‘t true, at least not entirely, because if our past was all that defined us, we‘d never be able to put up with ourselves. We need to be allowed to convince ourselves that we‘re more than the mistakes we made yesterday. That we are all of our next choices, too, all of our tomorrow‘s.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I pre ordered his new book! I seriously cannot wait for it to arrive! June 15 can‘t come quick enough! 😍

Dog sitting after work today and tomorrow so had to of course get a new read for while I get puppy snuggles from my girls cousin dogs! ❤️

I felt as if the ending was left unfinished. I think the author should have had the help arrive and Kieran tell what happened. That way the truth came out and the families could all get closure on what really happened that night of the big storm and what really happened to Bronte.
Other wise, I thought that the story was a delightful and quick read. Was a perfect fit for the thunderstorms and cloudy days I have had here where I live!

Navis turn in thinking the gifts in the box are for her 😂 thank you so much @TheAromaofBooks
I definitely didn‘t open early either 😅 I LOVED the coasters! They‘re seriously just too cute!
I can‘t wait to start these two lovely books! especially, Night Road! I love me some Kristin Hannah ❤️

I love the cover of this book 🥰

Just amazing! Some parts were ehh. But overall I enjoyed it!
Eliza was probably my favorite. For such a young kid shes stronger than most people. She followed her gut, used magic to sacrifice herself for Nella (though she lived!)
Caroline, I give major props! Left a cheating husband & now she‘s finally following her dreams & is damn good at it!
Oh poor Nella, defending so many women throughout her life. I loved her. We need more women like her

Awh yay! It came! 😍 my dog, Olive, thinks it‘s for her 😂

So I‘m not very far in the book, but why in the WORLD would Nella sell a poison to a child?! Even if it‘s technically to someone else.
And why do men who cheat, think the female is stupid? If we are asking you a specific question; don‘t lie. We already know 😭

Holy crap I loved this book! I couldn‘t put it down 😭 probably one of the best Romance Thrillers that I‘ve ever read

So far I am thoroughly enjoying how easy of a read this book is. It drew me in the second I started ❤️

I was not a big fan of this book. I felt as if the author didn‘t have any idea of what she wanted the story to be and was just gradually piecing her ideas together.
There were a lot of characters that I felt were unnecessary to the entire story and I felt that it could have been better without them.
The bases of the story would have been good if the author would have spent more time on the actual details instead of creating new characters.
⭐️⭐️

On to the next 😊 reading this with a couple of coworkers. They had a couple days head start cause they said it was only fair since I read too fast for them 😂

As someone who has endure physical and mental abuse in relationships in my past, I was 100% on Lilas side the entire time. I could NOT put this book down. This, by far, topped all the books I‘ve read so far this year.
I‘m so happy that Lila got relief(+ a boat load of money lol) and justice was served to the Payne brothers.
**Funny their last name is Payne and they caused so much for everyone in their lives.

1: I would honestly travel anywhere if I had the money to go and have a vacation at the same time! If I had to pick one person, it would have to be Nora Roberts (aka J.D Robb).
2: No I haven‘t, but I get most of my reading done in my long days here. I practically get paid to read most days! 😂
3: This year, I would love to check off Montana ❤️

I can‘t wait to see how this one turns out 😍

“Three words, large enough to tip the world. I remember you.”
In the end, love always wins. Addies love for Henry, over powered all. She left her mark on the world, simply by loving Henry. After 300 years, she finally found a way for the world to hear her story, from the hands of her one true love.
It was such a powerful thing for her to let him go and be with the darkness. But, Addie is stronger than the shadow will ever be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

IT FINALLY CAME! #thelostapothecary #botm #reading #books #bookworm

Getting some sun while finishing up such a great book 🥰 My girls are enjoying their sunbathing and watching all the kids out playing!

I love that the author added in small art piece details into her story, that tie in with the different parts of the book. It‘s such a delicate touch to such a great book!
I absolutely hate giving up on a book so early on, especially THIS early on. Not even half way.
Right off the bat, the description the author used as “contemporary America” is kind of ridiculous to me.
I feel that in some parts she left out very necessary information, then had too much in other parts that didn‘t add up to what she was going for.
Plus, IMO, she uses an extreme amount of analogies and I find that slightly bothersome.

It‘s been hard lately for me to find a non-fiction book that I actually enjoy so hopefully, this one is good 😊

“One second after an EMP attack, it will be too late to ask two simply questions: what should we have done to prevent the attack and why didn‘t we do it?”
I absolutely LOVED this book and thoroughly enjoyed it I‘ve learned so much about the potential happenings of an EMP attack that for some reason, still to this day, is sought out to be not very important.
What would you do if you were brought back to the dark ages?
