#DivineDecember Day 12: Grateful to have been able to spend time with #Family during Thanksgiving week as my childhood friend (my daughter‘s godmother) hosted us in their home in Everett, Washington - with this fierce and tender part-Belgian-shepherd named Chessie. Howling, barking, sweetest dog. Looking forward to coming back in a week to spend Christmas/New Year break with #family in the Bay Area (Antioch). 💕💕💕

1. I‘m not sure how much time to myself I‘ll get over the next few days, but I‘m going to read as much as I can.

1. Yes, definitely! We are keeping it small this year - just my husband, our daughter, my sister and I, so there won‘t be too much cooking. More time to read. 2. We may put our outside decorations up next weekend, but we don‘t turn the lights on until after our daughter‘s birthday on Dec. 2.

I've been in a reading slump due to some bullshit going on in my personal life. I'm hoping this might pull me out of the slump or keep my mind off of the bullshit.

My goal is to read two books I've started this year, but haven't finished. I have so many. I need to work on my attention span.

We watched this Hulu offering last night and it was bonkers! Anna wants to be the perfect little suburban wife and has hired pilgrim actors to come reenact a perfect original Thanksgiving with her & her family. Sounds totally safe, right!?

1. I plan to finish my re-read of ACOMAF and get through the three other books I brought (Marissa Meyer‘s Supernova, Leigh Bardugo‘s Ninth House, and ACOWAR).
2. In the past few years, it seems our tradition is to buy the family pack thing from Cracker Barrel, but now it seems that our family tradition is having my mother‘s brother‘s family force some weird, non-traditional, usually gross Thanksgiving food on us. 🙃

We don‘t really do #PumpkinPie in the UK, but as I understand it, it‘s to Thanksgiving as Christmas pudding is to, well, Christmas. It‘s been a while since I read this book, but I seem to recall a lot of pumpkin preparation in it.

Recently returned from California— we spent Thanksgiving at my mom‘s. First holiday without my dad. We all headed over to his favorite beach 🌊 one day, even though it was raining 🌧 . Picture is of my kids ❤️

Now to try to read more before the Christmas crunch starts — l seriously have not been reading lately 😮!!

A late #Thanksgiving holiday to all my friends who celebrate. We do not celebrate it here but I'm still very thankful for my family, friends& garden, & my Litsy family here 🙏💖 I'm also thankful for calling Australia home, even tho we have been experiencing some crazy weather of sunshine together with pouring rain and Dust Storm all in one week! I thought I took better pictures off all the food I spent all day making. I have cooked Thanks giving dinner for. 10 years. And I always cook it at my mothers. Dad does some help. He‘s the grey haired man in plaid. The one closest is my Uncle Will and for the first time ever cousin Mike joined up. Tomorrow I‘ll be hungry. Since I cooked the last thing I want to do is eat. The desserts are on another table. Everyone is welcome.

I‘ll try not to be too jealous of all your delicious food. Although, I can‘t help but wonder, why Black Friday has become a thing here in Denmark and Thanksgiving hasn‘t. Let‘s be honest, we steal all your holidays anyways, why can‘t we steal the food based one instead of the crazy one? 😅

So my family just celebrated its first thanksgiving ever with some friends in Dubai. I‘m sold, what a great holiday!! Happy Thanks Giving everyone, I‘m Thankful for #litsy it‘s a great community to be part of 👌🏻🙌🏻👍🏻
